There's a lot I disagree with you, but I just find your top 5 for speed a bit odd. It's cause you ranked Ah Qing so high in other categories, but when it comes to speed, she's not even on your list? I don't know what kind of speed you're talking about, but if it's fighting speed, then Ah Qing should be the highest. If it's running speed, then that might be Sweeps.

Anyway, in terms of fighting speed... Donfang Bu Bai's moves were all seen by LWC. Even though LWC couldn't do anything, but defend (and still got poked at), he was still able to see all of DFBB's movesl. The reason LWC couldn't counter even though he could see DFBB's weaknesses has more to do with LWC's lack of speed rather than DFBB's "appeared" great speed or most likely, a combination of both. XNL is even faster cause even to an expert like the Golden Wheel Monk, her moves were not so visible to the naked eye so I would definitely put XNL above DFBB in terms of speed alone. Ah Qing is even more insane. I think she's the fastest in all of JY. She was always a blur to everybody. No one, other than the gorilla, ever withstood more than three strokes from her and those guys were the cream of the crop for fighters in that era (and they were trained by Ah Qing to boot). In fact, I think I might put that gorilla as the 2nd fastest fighter in all of JY cause he was a blur too and only he could spar with Ah Qing and saw Ah Qing's moves. But, even he could not withstand Ah Qing as they played that sparring game more and more and Ah Qing got better and better at it till she hurt him too bad one day.

Yes he did block, but I didn't say if he blocked or not. I just said he was mainly on the defense. LWC used his sword to block DFBB's needles and also got poked by him a few times. And no, LWC wasn't attacking all the time. He saw weaknesses in DFBB's martial arts, but couldn't do anything about it cause DFBB was too fast for him. How could LWC be attacking all the time if he was on the defense so much?

No clue to suggest whether or not DGKB should be there or not, but if I remembered correctly, DGKB would claim himself lost if he had to defend in a fight. This probably means that he's so fast with his sword skills that if anyone forced him to defend, he considers himself lost (of course technically speaking, he isn't).

In a sword fighting, the faster your moves are, the bigger your chance to win is.
If Dongfang Bubai DID use a sword, LHChong would have had some holes on his body.
Seeing the opponent's flaws but couldn't do anything to attack, even Dugu Qiubai would have found it extremely difficult fighting DFBB.

DFBB was really fast, but if he picked up the other half, PXJF, he wouldve killed LHC very easily. Also, about DGQB, he is very mysterious, we only know about two sword arts which have given us a clear insight into what he is capable of, therefore we can't compare him with DFBB as we know nothing else.

I envision the top dogs for SPEED a bit differently. Ah Qing has been excluded due to my lack of knowledge about her character. Other than her, In no particular order:

Duan Yu is not really that fast. He's just very exquisite with his steps, and can evade things easily. But the above cases were described with incredible speed over a short distance.

In wuxia, what counts is perhaps Qian Feng's great bravery and heroic deeds that withstood fiercely even when he's pitted against greater opponents or torn between blood ties, comradeship and justice. That I believe sets him far apart from others.

For those who are unfamiliar with Ah Qing, I had done an analysis on her a couple years back. Please peruse this thread as it is filled with a lot of useful information. If we disregard Lav's objection about excluding Sword of the Yueh Maiden from Jin Yong canon, I'm sure Ah Qing would be pretty up there in almost everyone's rankings.

Jin Yong had intended that short story to be part of a collection of myths and fantasy but since that was never completed, I think it's legitimate to consider it as part of canon. There aren't that many fantasy elements that differentiate it that much, if at all, from normal wuxia.
