^Hehe, they're fated to be together like that.
要爱你一辈子 写爱你的故事 在我心里承诺了几千次
YH looks like such a fun guy to be around with. I love all those pics of him goofing around with his mates. He's like such a regular guy except he's gorgeous.
We never see Hu Ge goofing off with his friends. He is usually seen dashing off into a car, leaving a restaurant or airport or something.

YH with his fans....
I NEED to get my hands on this magazine. *Runs to find someone in China who can buy this and bring it to me*
I was craving this magazine when xiaolong mentioned the FengMi MingYun spread and after seeing those scans...but now with this Yuan Hong feature, I absolutely NEED this. (I can't believe I'm this desperate for a magazine...when I've never felt the urge to do so before and never spent a penny on magazines in my life before! )
Btw it sounds like YH is starting to get some pretty meaty roles in some good, serious dramas! Seems like he is going down the "shi li" path (i.e. more serious acting) rather than "ou xiang" path (i.e. more "idol" type fame) like Tangren actors generally seem to do. This seems to suit him a lot more, actually...I can see why he left TR (apart from the fact that he seems to be a guy who needs his own freedom rather than having things decided for him). While "ou xiang" actors are way more popular/famous/well-known and have lots more fans, "shi li" actors have better "credit" in the entertainment industry since they're known more for talent rather than popularity. (Not saying "ou xiang" actors are not talented--e.g. Hu Ge I still think of as an "ou xiang" actor even though I think he definitely has the talent as well, but he's been in way more idol dramas than serious dramas so far and he's more known for them.)
Anyways, it looks like his career is finally going pretty good! I feel like he "wasted" a couple of years unfortunately...he got off to a great start when he got casted in a leading role in the CCTV drama "Shang Shu Fang" so early on, then he got some needed exposure/fame via TR series like Yang Warriors and LOCH...and recently in BBJX of course--but I wish he could've continued acting in some serious dramas as well in that time. Ah well, it's never too late! ^_^

I don't know about his roles being more "shi li" yet.
Princess Taiping is a product of Hunan TV (and starts Zheng Shuang and Alyssia Chia)--which really leans more "idol" than "power".
As for Jin Guo Da Jiang Jun, we'll probably have to see more of the clips and promos to judge.
But at least he got a pretty meaty role in Jin Guo, though I wonder if he's the male lead or supporting male lead.
Anyway, here's the video of YH posing for the EASY magazine photographer for your viewing pleasure

In any case, these days, I suppose things arn't always strictly divided into "idol" and "serious" but on a spectrum. The ends of the spectrums are easily sniffed out, but the ones in the middle arn't always easy to determine.
I don't like the term "shi li pai" because frankly, I find a lot of actors/actresses in serious dramas are just as bad in acting as some "idol" actors/actresses--just in a different style and not as good looking (and vice versa where some "idol" actors/actresses are actually good at acting). And of course, as mentioned above, not everyone acts strictly in "idol" or "serious" dramas so it makes it even harder to judge based on actors/actresses participating. I think Jin Guo Da Jiang Jun is probably going to fall in the borderline category ...but of course, we'll have to see it first
^LOL, you speak my mind!

There's MORE from that delicious photoshoot?!!!! Is this a full spread then? Ahhhhh! I MUST get my hands on this...it's times like these where I'm almost tempted to go find a job in China. LOL.
And I definitely agree there's a spectrum--I guess I'm more referring to Yuan Hong focusing on more "shi li pai" series compared to himself in the past--since Shang Shu Fang, he's been doing just light-hearted idol type TR stuff and I think it's a shame, because out of all the talented idol actors I feel like he has the most "qi zhi" to do more serious acting. I'm definitely not saying I want him to quit doing idol stuff completely, because some of the idol series are definitely enjoyable to watch! Like xiaolong pointed out, I actually do want him to have a mix like Yang Mi does (where half her series are idol-ish thus giving her more fame/popularity, but the other half are serious dramas that give her more credence in the industry--if she didn't have all her serious dramas on her resume, she definitely couldn't have capitalized on her post-Gong fame the way she did because she would've just been dismissed as an idol "lei ju" actress). Having a balance is definitely the best of both worlds for sure, and I'm glad to see Yuan Hong moving in this direction.
Yo Mango! Another Chinese magazine interview with YH!!
You should totally consider finding a job in China or HK while the job market there is good. There may be a slowdown in the overall economy next year though, but the jobs are still there (the job market usually has a lag effect, so if the economy slows down next year, the jobs will slow down only a year later).
Anyway, about Jin Guo Da Jiang Jun...ahhhh! Chen Sicheng's official pic is finally up!
And here's Elanne and YH on the sand!
