Default Action Sequences of the new TVB

Anybody notice that all the new series that has action in it usually lacks in good choreo and power? Is it the actors or the choreographers? Nowadays we only see a bunch of special FX.

The 80s had the best stuff. Ching Siu Tung did a lot of choreo for TVB back then. ATV still had the best ppl like Tsui Siu Ming and Yuen Cheung Yan doing choreo. Like back then they could make a bunch of actors that don't have any martial arts background looks really good when fighting. For example, Miu Kiu Wai looked so good fighting in those period dramas. Even Felix Wong looked okay in LOCH. Tony Leung looked the most sloppy but miles ahead of what we see nowdays. What happened?
"If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put it in a bottle it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow, or it can crash. Be water my friends.

i think they put more thought into it, now its annoying camera angles and closeups - people look like they are dancing when they fight. I think Taiwan/Chinese fighting choreography much better to watch these days.

The latest best kungfu / martial art tvb series is 2005 Real Kung Fu (Yuan Biu, Leung Kar Yan, Lau Kar Fai).
