Default List of fighters who were known to be UNDEAFEATED

Let's compile a list of people who are known to be undefeated up to a certain point.

-In HSDS, Reverend Kongxing was undefeated until he met Zhang Wuji. In fact he defeated all of his previous opponents quite easily.

-Jiumozhi was undefeated until he met Xuzhu

-Xiao Feng was undeafeated until he met Sweeper Monk

    Please contribute your knowledge.

Although Sweeper is obviously much stronger, XF technically did not lose that fight. XF was the only one who caused any injury in that short exchange.

Did XuZhu actually lose any fight? He might have ran away from enemies but once the fight started, I don't remember him losing.

WCY was undefeated? I thought he lost to LCY?

No, he never lost to her. She developed a system of martial arts that could defeat his Cheun Jen Sect martial arts, but she could never defeat him personally.

As for the "carving on stone with a finger" contest, she cheated.

No one knows if Dugu Qiubai was undefeated. We only know that at some point, he became too strong for anyone.
Burying his Dugu 9 Jian manual under an epitaph, Dugu Qiubai felt he has left his legacy for the next generation. He then moved to Shaolin to study Buddhism, sweep floors and tap elite fighters.

Same can be said of Sweeper Monk, who knows what life he lead during his younger years. This basically applies to everyone.

yea. that's true. But since you mentioned cheating, i can say WCY cheated too by using 9yin which was not created by him to break LCY's self developed set of martial arts.

Why is using a martial arts not created by you considered cheating? Does that mean whoever don't invent their own arts are considered cheaters? Are H7G, XF, GJ, etc. cheaters?

I did not see that this is an only JY thread, so therefore:

Has Xiao Li Fei Dao ever lost?

He sort of "lost" to the Kwok guy, but then again, Kwok admitted that he actually lost the fight because of LXH sparing him.

    Yao Yue Gong Zhu?

I assume she rarely goes out to even have fights with anyone.

In actual combat, using martial arts that one did not invent is not cheating unless, of course, both combatants agree beforehand that they will not use martial arts that either of them did not invent.

On the other hand, if it's a competition to see who can devise better martial arts (which was the case in Central Divinity Wong Chung Yeung and Lam Chiu Ying's dispute here), then using someone else's work (i.e. the 9 Yum Jen Ging in this case) could indeed be construed as cheating.

Nevertheless, although Lam Chiu Ying was already dead by the time this happened, her followers could not accuse of Wong Chung Yeung of cheating without being hypocritical because, after all, it was Lam Chiu Ying who cheated first.

LCY figured out WCY's martial arts because his martial arts were still inscribed on the walls of the tomb when he gave it to her. Is it not cheating too when she studied those inscriptions to create counter techniques?

After all this debate, only one thing is clear: The Greats were all martial arts geniuses.

    No, not really.

There's nothing innately unethical about examining an opponent's martial arts. Wong Chung Yeung's martial arts "secrets" weren't really all that secretive. There was a verbal record of it at the Ancient Tomb compound, but Lam Chiu Ying was likely already familiar with Wong Chung Yeung's martial arts from her long association with him anyway.
