Good and Bad Renditions

I like both. I think much of New Order's material, including their videos, plays on strange juxtapositions. True Faith is a case in point, lyrics about drug dependency set to a bright dance track, and a video with a blue man jumping around.

Something I've been looking for. Frente did a couple of videos for Accidently Kelly Street, one of which was this, and another which just had them sitting around in a living room on a sofa. I'm looking for the second video.

All 3 are good. But, I like Danny Summer's version best. His voice/singing style has a very certain quality that makes the sad song he sings very heart-breaking. Jacky's version is the softest and gentlest. The whole song is slow and doesn't have must changes tone. The original version by Search is a rock song. So, Search sing their's in a more intense way. The chorus is especially 'gik'.

Btw, Danny Summer is someone whose album I would not listen in one go. I will be very depress listening to his songs one after another. His singing style/voice is that heart-breaking.

This cover version by Screaming Savior sucks a biiiiig time.

Nothing against a bit of growl, but that rendition just ... rubs me the wrong way.

Just listen to Sinéad O'Connor's version of 'Don't Cry for Me Argentina'. Love her rendition. I used to like Madonna's version the most. But, Sinead's version become my fave version now.
