    Default Entertainment Companies

I know the largest entertainment company in HK is probably EEG? But what about in the Mainland? And how do these companies exactly work? I always thought that actresses/actors had their own agents, who negotiate deals with movie/series-making companies. Then why do I hear about stars talking about "their company"?

hmmm... there is also a big company called HuaYi brothers. actually mainland also have artist management companies, but they usually will go for the more established ones, not just some tom and jane on the streets.

If u can read chinese, there is a summary of the different mainland management companies(abt 15?) here that isn't too bad
    http://www.ichenkun.com/bbs/dispbbs....D=19536&page=6

basically it says there are 3 kinds of companies:
1.those that make their own series/movies
2.those that manage artistes and negotiate deals for them
    3.those that do both

Huayi is definitely the big boss of all them and there is also alot of resentment at how they go abt their business. their contract artistes include zhou xun, fan bingbing, li bingbing, hu jun, carina lau, 1 of the supergirls...lot of big names

Cheng Tian Yu Le split from Huayi when their best manager/agent left to set up her own firm. their contract actors include chen hao, xia yu, chen daoming...

I'm most familiar with rong xin da. they are not as powerful as the first 2 and much more low key. their artistes include chen kun, zeng li, huang jue...

you can also check out the notorious tianya website, entertainmen section. they usually have insider infomation(but some are unreliable) on the different companies.
    路漫漫,长伴......

C'mon get ready......the future is now, the past is gone forever.....
