Now I'm surprised that Timmy Ho became a monk, I liked him a lot as an actor and wished he would've continued his acting career but I guess his talent agent is just not good anymore or his contract with TVB ended and so too bad. He's so young to be a monk, a real monk. Ah....well I must respect his decision.

I've seen both Rural Heros and Sidebeat....they were actually quite similar haha coz both wears uniform and do patrolling for the entire time...but story wise, I think rural heros is better

Has everyone seen "Healing Heats"? Its the ATV version of TVB's "Healing hands".....Does anyone know if its good or not and whether Jackie is in it much?

It seems like Rural Heroes is a worthy watch. I never watched Sidebeat 'cause most people said it wasn't very good. As for Healing Heats...I've never even heard of it. Do you mean Healing Hearts? There's a film version too.

I've started watching Rural Hero. Jackie's character is kind of annoying and it's not hard to see why he's not popular amongst his new colleagues even though he means well. Anekin, check out the episode summaries for RH and see if they go into enough detail to answer your question. Otherwise, I'll still let you know about episode 15 when I get there.

I'm rewatching Heroic Legend of the Yangs - The Great General, Jackie's character is so lovable! I also like Jackie's hair in this series too. I vaguely remember Jackie's character in his madness accidently killing Joey's character right? It's like a conflict between two Jackie's inside of him, but he loves Joey most vs. his wife played by Wong Mei.

Lady Zhuge: I've finished reading the summary, i guess i haven't really missed much in ep 15.....ep 16 is the ep where Yu Jie realized that Jackie was her son...but how come she wasn't suprised at all...so stupid...yeah i dont really like this series much, maybe Sidebeat is slightly better even....

Suet Seung: Are u talking about the Justice Bao series made by ATV...yeah i got to get my hands on that...i remember seeing it when it first came out....yeah i liked jackie in it, but it was sad when both his wife and himself died ....The weird thing is both his ex and his current gf is in that series wat a coincident!!

Hi Anekin, welcome back. Actually I quite enjoyed Rural Hero. It's a good serial even though Jackie was not a highlight. I think Yu Jie was just in shock upon seeing Jackie's father and grandmother; everything hit her at once. She had to hide her appearance of recognition from Jackie and the mixed emotions toward the ex-husband who'd cheated on her. She really had a lot to consider at that time and in such a public place, too.

The Great General was the only serial I'd seen Jackie in before Rural Hero. I remember liking Jackie in there as the amnesia victim and also Damian Lau's role as well. The ending was so sad. Who's Jackie's ex-girlfriend? His current one is the actress who played White Snake in MDWAV 1, right?

Yes his current gf is the White Snake in MDWAV 1...his ex gf is Joey Man...the lead actress in I have a date with Vampire.....(i think they were still together when making the great general). According to rumors, joey cheated on Jackie with Donny Yen so thats why they broke up.....

Has anyone seen "Return to the Truth"...OMG that was jackie's first tv series and he was sooooooo good...his acting was superb....i coudlnt even tell he was a newb at that time.....its a must see series....highly recommended!!

It mentions he had his education at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, so it shows Jackie Lui had professional training to become and actor. Its no wonder that he's always proven to be a capable and good actor. Though certain roles might not be likeable, but he's only following the demands for the role.

I heard somewhere that he was chosen to be LingHu Chong in SOD/XAJH96 because of his past roles in Justice Pao (TVB 1995) and possibly his role in Heroic Legend of the Yangs - The Great General (which also starred Justice Pao along with the Yang Family; ATV 1994).

I was searching clips on youtube and found this clip of Jackie speaking (Canto) something about fitness: 呂頌賢健身教室.

He's so cute. I am watching now Embroiderer Lan Xin and from the looks of the theme intro, I hope he doesn't die in the series.

Just in case anyone wondering who his wife/girlfriend is, I post up some Pics. She is an ATV actress, I don't know if she still acts. I bet they meet when they act in ATV series back in the 1990s.
It said his girlfriend but I think they married since they both wear ring on their left hand, marriage finger.
