Chinese viewers may not know who Yoo HaNa is, but Taiwan viewers knew her well because of the series she starred in, My Lucky Star, that achieved a high rating of 40%.
According to Chosun Daily, 韩惠珍 was first considered for the role of Ah Xing, but the Taiwanese producer saw Yoo HaNa's bio and threw her the olive branch and made her the lucky female lead. Her co-star is the famous handsome Taiwan actor Jimmy Lin. As a result, Yoo HaNa's fame in Taiwan is just second to the hot actress 宋慧乔 who starred in <浪漫满屋>.
Yoo HaNa said, "It was tough at the beginning. I was always nervous. I cried after I went home because I thought I didn't perform half as well as I should have." She got close to the well-respected older actors and learned from them. "I still get very nervous when it's my turn, but with the support and encouragement from the other actors I got used to it. Sometimes I can't differentiate if I was the character or Yoo HaNa."
I have to ask her about the hot topic of the rumored love affair between her and Jimmy Lin. "Jimmy and I have no relationship. We became good friends after filming. There is no man/woman feelings between us. Because of this rumor it raised my popularity so I am not unhappy about it."
Her father is sorry that My Lucky Star will not air in Korea, but through The First Wives' Club he can now boast about his daughter. This has become one of her blessings now.
She said, "I wish I could be 30 asap. I wish I could be an actress who has known all emotions and understood life more in depth. To be a part of First Wives' Club is a blessing to me."

Just watched this and i really enjoyed this series alot!! the two main characters, Jimmy Lin and Yoo Hana had great chemistry!! the ending was pretty good...everything was wrapped up and satisfying...go MY LUCKY STAR!

P.S. was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the song that jimmy lin was singing is called...in the scene where he sings in front of AX's room...on the guitar!! Thanx

I think the series was too long. And ending like being force to happen like that. Like jimmy lin Dad suddenly died... oh please.. so weird.

i just like the series only in the beginning. In the end, i can guess what will happen... so predictable.

TQ's (jimmy lin) dad didn't just die. he had parkinson disease. he died 3 yrs after he was diagnosed. did u mean his older bro who suddenly die. that's called a traffic accident. and it happens in real life, maybe not so weird.

it's an idol series. u can always predict who'll end up with whom.

what we fans love about MLS is the plot. its plot twist in the middle is not as predictable as the other fairytale series.

i am back. had to do the X'mas family thingie for a few days.

have some news on MLS. It will start airing on Hong Kong TVB in Feb 2008, every sunday evening. I am excited b/c i used to be a big TVB fan. TVB is the most popular broadcast channel in HK so more ppl will get to see it. Jimmy used to be a hit in HK in 1993/1994 but no more. hope he will go to HK to promote MLS. He is the youngest (at 18) singer ever to perform in the HungHum Collesium and still holds that record.

i hope TVB will show the full version and not the cut one. at least we'll see some news about jimmy in HK entertainment news. it has already aired on the TVB cable channel dubbed in cantonese but only a small population in HK has TVB cable.

THanks for the great news ladycoco! I only saw 1 episode of this series so far. I hope to see more before my break is over. I remember back when Jimmy had his first major concert in HK in 1993 and was the youngest ever to perform in the colesium. I saw the HK concert on VHS and really enjoyed it. I hope that Jimmy can regain his popularity in HK after this series airs there...Jimmy Jia You!!!
