I had a first edition and lend it to a friend who act blur about returning it.
So I ended up ordering a set from Yesasia. That means no way I'm gonna lend that set out to anyone.

Yesasia has a new Taiwan release DVD version (XAJH) of 20 disc set. Considering that the series is 40 chapters that makes each disc holding 2 chapters.
Now I'm wondering if that means better quality or longer chapter lengths since the vcd version suffered badly from ZJZ's brutal chopping.

I finally got to watch XAJH online and I really like Xu Qing as Ren Ying Ying. I find her rather matured for the role though she managed to exude that alluring charm which made RYY really memorable. Her acting was totally different from her performance in "Da Qing Feng Yun", which was surprising. Li Ya Peng was likeable as Linghu Chong as well and i do agree that that both of them had rather good chemistry together though it would have been even better had they allocated more scenes to show LHC's love and concern for RYY.

Xu Qing is my only Ren Ying Ying. I have seen of Anita Yuen, Fiona Leung and Fann Wong, however, for me she's the best Ren Ying Ying there is.

Furthermore, I don't know, but Ren Ying Ying is supposed to be quite mature despite her young age. I mean otherwise how could she be the Holy Maiden of most of the "lowlife ones" within th Martial Art's World, right?

Yes, if i recall correctly, RYY was only about 17 or so in the novel and was described more than once by JY to possess a sort of youthful radiance and girlish charm despite being the Holy Maiden of Sun Moon Sect (somewhat like ZM). Therefore, I thought Xu Qing looked slightly too matured and womanly as RYY. Nonetheless, she did manage to capture that liveliness and subtle playfulness especially in her scenes with LYP's LHC, which contrasted greatly to the cold and imposing side of her character when she deals with her enemies or subordinates.

I dont know but Xu Qing's RYY reminded me alot of Gigi Lai's portrayal of ZM (which i love btw) in HSDS'00, especially acting and dressing/hair wise, plus they both have really cute dimples when they smile. I havent seen Anita Yuen's portrayal but I think Xu Qing beats Fiona and Fann's portrayals hands down. JY himself stated that he liked her RYY best.
