Default Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre: shatter on impact, or inner power required?

After turning over the Ngor Mei Sect Leader position to Chow Chi Yerk, Mit Jeut See Tai instructed her successor that upon gaining possession of the Heaven Sword and the Dragon Sabre, Chow Chi Yerk was to use her inner power and smash the blades of the weapons against one another, causing them to shatter and revealing the secret manuals within.

Would the blades of the Heaven Sword and the Dragon Sabre shatter on simple impact (i.e. two strong people, untrained in inner power, smash the blades together with brute muscular force), or would the blades require the use of specific inner power techniques to break them and uncover their secrets?

well you're going to need a good amount of internal energy to hold both weps and then apply enough force to break each other. I mean yes alone.. with one simple strike of the heaven sword probably chop down a tree, but the dragon sabre is much more heavy so yes more internal energy/inner energy is required. But don't forget both of these swords combined are probably one of the hardest things on earth so therefore in order to break them.. you would to apply a great amount of force .. it's hard to explain but it should be common sense..

it will require good control of internal energy, precision, and great amount of force.

I seem to remember reading that there was a specific weak point on each weapon for this purpose (I think it was near the hilt). So you would need inner power + knowledge of the weak points.

I think anyone strong enough to wield the Dragon Sabre would be able to break the two blades...
Burying his Dugu 9 Jian manual under an epitaph, Dugu Qiubai felt he has left his legacy for the next generation. He then moved to Shaolin to study Buddhism, sweep floors and tap elite fighters.

is there really an indication about the weak spot?
