Default Which Jin Yong character would make the ideal king?

Which Jin Yong character, in your opinion, would make the perfect king? Which one would bring peace and harmony to it's people and end wars? Who do you think the ideal king of the world would be?

None of the heroes or main characters because they're too idealistic. Unfortunately, leading a nation requires a cynical willingness to grasp and practice ugly realpolitik.

Wei Xiao Bao. He would also have the Grandmother of all Harems...

I was about to suggest Xiao Feng, he isn't as idealistic as say GJ or ZWJ and would be someone not shy to lay some smack-down if necessary. However, I don't think he has good administrative talents and unless surrounded with good courtiers and a prime minister, it wouldn't work.

Wei Xiao Bao as King, Xiao Feng as Commander of the Armies. That should make a formidable combination.

He's too much the *other* extreme, though. He's got the cynicism and Machiavellianism down pat, but does he have the character?

He'd be the closest, and I was thinking about him as a possibility. He still might be a tad more idealistic than would be most suitable, but he's better in this area than Gwok Jing or Cheung Mo Gei (or various others) would be.

Not an insurmountable problem, I suppose. All the great leaders also have a crew of great administrators to serve with them. As the Beggar's Union Chief, Kiu Fung probably relied on his lieutenants to help him with many of the assorted details of the job while he governed the big picture. A good leader shouldn't try to take on everything himself/herself.

I'd have Kiu Fung as king and Wai Siu Bo as prime minister. It'd be better to let Wai Siu Bo work the nitty gritty of details, but let Kiu Fung have veto power over him.

No, the king could be either male or female.

If that is the case then I would say Wong Yung would be an ideal king.

Why do you think so? HR may be ruthless and intelligent but I don't think she's ambitious enough to want to be Empress. She's at her best when she's supporting the man she loves.

I think XF would make a good king. He's shown to be a great benevolent leader and was respected by his subordinates so being king shouldn't be too hard for him. Plus, with his abilities, it would be hard to assassinate him.
