Default Pet peeves -- got any weird ones?

this isn't weird but my personal pet peeve is when ppl start slamming dishes in the sink when they are angry.
also i hate the sound of the train whistle - to me its really irritating.
Oh yea, and i hate the sound of a fly buzzing around!
...and i hate smelling things no matter how nice.. i just like the clean fresh air.

I have a fear of air vents and cars with round headlights.

People who shake their legs when they're sitting down
People who talk with their mouths full
People who clip their nails in public
People who answer their phones while in the movie theater
People who take the elevator one flight up/down when stairs are available
People who talk loudly in quiet places
People who pull for paper towels from the paper towel dispenser before washing their hands after peeing

i would never say i don't believe in something unless it is proven otherwise.. so even if i have never had a personal encounter with the supernatural what proof is there that there aren't ghosts?

likewise, I would never believe in anything that has not yield any substantial proof. The burden of proof shouldn't be on my side, just as when someone claim another person commited a crime, the burden of proof lies on proving that person did it. Just as when scientist propose a new theory, they have to prove it. The burden of proof always lies on the person laying the claim. So unless someone prove it with credible evidence that ghosts exist, then why should I hold the belief it does? Remember beliefs are blind, it doesn't necessarily suggest that ghosts doesn't exist, it merely states that I chose not to believe in it because of lack of evidence.

People who never can get facts straight annoy me. In psychology such people are called "intuitive" people. In other words, people who are above facts. They see and hear what they WANT to see and hear. If you have to rely on them to relay a message, god help you, my son.

Tell me sir, how do you prove something does NOT exist? How???

i think u r quoting me! in that case i am not a sir - but a ma'am ^^. Anyways, what i meant when i wrote that was that i myself believe in ghosts, but those people who don't believe in them should not completely disregard the idea of them just because they are no facts to prove their existence.

Gu Gu, don't be scared, I'm here. You know there was once a time that you can say a camera never lies but nowadays with so many pictures out there that is photoshoped, it's difficult to seperate the real from the fakes.

Oh, I'm so glad you're here with me
I don't think those pictures were Photoshopped, my friend said they were authentic. But of course my friend had a motive to lie, he wanted to scare me.

i HATE it when people just start entering an elevator/room/subway car without letting people off first. I understand that you want to get on, but people need to get off too. that's just common courtesy.

What's more annoying is grown men riding on a public bus but when women or old women come on the bus with grocery bags in their hands and these men don't even rush out to offer their seats, instead just sit there like its normal. Shameless.
I just love how you Captivate My Mind

i've seen a row of men sitting on a crowded subway and a pregnant woman standing. not a little pregnant, either. she looked a full 9 months, water about to break at any day pregnant. i was standing, so all i could do was give the men dirty looks.

"VPL" is abbreviated for Visible Panty Line. Especially, when the panty line is shown through white pant. I would cringe at such horrible sight.
