Wink Little Monk a.k.a. Shi Xiao Long :p

Hi everyone. I just felt like posting up a thread about Shi Xiao long. You all might know who his is or you may not. But let me tell you. He is such a cute little guy. You might have seen his movies and not know him or take notice of him. But let me show you some pix of him and then we'll see...
I started liking him since he was only a little boy. Hey, not trying to be a perv or anything. But he was cute as a little boy. Like in the movie, China Popeye, all i could remember of the movie is that he also played with another little boy. Other than that, i can't really remember much of the movie. But the fact that he is very cute and can really kick butt. hehe...

Here are some info about him:
-- Martial Arts Child Star Sik Siu Lung -- (info gathered from site: http://www.wu-jing.org/News/Arch/200...02-07-News.php)
Shi Xiao Long (Sik Siu Lung), aged 14, who has starred in Shaolin Popeye, China Dragon, Ten Brothers, Saint of Gamblers, Chinese Heroes, etc, will be heading to US to further his studies next year. His agent said that due to his busy filming schedule over the years, his studies are aversely affected. As the most popular Mainland martial arts child actor, he is unable to attend lessons regularly like his peers. To ensure that his education level won't lag behind his peers, when Xiao Long is shooting, they arrange for both a martial arts coach and an academic teacher to be by his side at all times to guide him. He would also revise his studies during school vacations to catch up with his classmates. That he is going to study overseas in US serves to pave the way for his future foray into Hollywood. His agent will also be making arrangements for him to meet Hollywood personalities.

Shi Xiao Long was born in Chen Village (The village of Chen Style Taichi), which is within close proximity to Mt Song's Shaolin Temple. His original name was Chen Xiao Long. His family has been martial arts practitioners for generations. His father, Chen Tong Shan, is the dean of Shaolin Wushu School. When Xiao Long was two years old, on seeing his father imparting skills to his disciples, Xiao Long, unexpectedly, began doing the moves. So, Chen Tong Shan might as well let his son become the disciple of Shaolin Abbot Shi Yong Xing, and was bestowed the Buddhist name, Shi Xiao Long. He became Shaolin secular disciple at the mere age of 3. He became famous after acting in Whirlwind Kid at the age of 4. When Shi Xiao Long was in preparation for Juvenile Wong Fei Hung TV series last year, he took the effort to watch Jet Li's and Zhao Wen Zhuo's versions of Wong Fei Hung. He feels that they are the paradigm of martial arts. However, he likes Jackie Chan best, saying that his action is very beautiful and he is very acrobatic and agile. He started admiring Jackie Chan greatly since the Hong Kong Film Awards 1995 when both of them received some awards. Shooting of his latest movie, Undiscovered Tomb, produced by My Way Film Co, has been completed and will be released at the end of the year. His next work, Miracle Kid of Shaolin, will begin production soon.

I first saw SXL as the young Zhang Wu Ji in HSDS 2003 although I like him best in the first Young Justice Bao installment. He was definitely a cute kid. He has grown up alot now, but still has his baby fat.

that little monk dude?? He also paired up with the fat kid too in that show right?? Yeah I have to say that dude is cuter.

But Shi xiao long was cute when he was young. When I was young, I watched this movie with him, the fat kid, and Jimmy Lin, and I was rolling on the ground with laughter. HE was so cute back then, and the fat kid was funny!!

it's sad when the cutest little kid grow big and they're not that adorable little kid cute anymore. i wish theres a cute kid who will stay as a kid forever. but dont get me wrong. shi xiao long is also cute as a teen, but i prefer him as the adorable little kid monk.
    I eat papers for fun.

True...he was much cuter when he was a boy. But he still is cute now too. You just have to see the movie to know wat i mean. (young justice bao 3) He actually plays in all parts: 1,2, and 3. Never got to see the first parts...when he was younger.

His picture in Young Justice Bao looks really flattering. ^^ I've never heard of him before, though. And it is sad that he's grown up. For some reason, kid actors seem to grow up much faster than regular people. =)
