yeah I don't like that they put a ghost character in the show. It was good as it was with Derek as my favorite...

Damn it, someone spoiled the ending for me in AF by putting the spoilers itself in the post title at AF news thread.

I'm up to 18 episodes so far and like it.

It's not the most original series (think Dayo Wong's To Catch the Uncatchable with a supernatural twist), but it has its funny moments and a great cast.

Roger Kwok is a talented actor who makes any series worth watching. Even Sonija Kwok whose dramas I normally avoid has noticeably improved. In the beginning, she seemed a little awkward and unfamiliar w/ the comedy genre. She improved after the first 2 episodes. Mimi Lo and Lau Yuk Chui are hilarious.

Looking fwd to the rest of the series. Keeping my fingers crossed for a good ending instead of those mo lei tau conclusions favored by TVB in recent years.

Heard TVB is shooting 2 endings. Hopefully, we'll get at least one happy ending this time.

    1) how did mei yan get with pierre so quickly? I missed that section, did anyone see it?

    2) were we ever told mei yan roomed with man wah jie? that was so sudden.

    i think it's bad cutting!

Agree that it's very bad editing.

Eventhough they are not lead or major supporting characters, we still would like to know what happen to them. Mei Yan was in every episode of D.I.E (and Pierre appeared quite often too), and the film editor thinks audience wouldn't care what happen to her? I think a scene of them meeting wouldn't take up too many minutes, would they?

Agree. I dropped my jaws when I saw them together. First the whole roomie thing was a bit of a "man bad editing" and then second scene i referred to above, "wtf?!? since when?" hahha

which episode are you on now? i'm so addicted buddy

I'm on episode 18. But, I skip to episode 20 for that scene.

I've always been interest in Mei Yan and Pierre ever since I saw their wedding picture in the themevideo. I've been waiting forever to see the moment they meet. So, I was quite disappointed that their dating came out of the blue with no explaination.

Yeah, I also wonder whether the other D.I.E members know Man Wah and Mei Yan are housemates or not.

Default Unanswered D.I.E Concerns - Spoiler Thread.

I just finished watching D.I.E. The beginning really grabbed my attention but towards the end, the flame dwindled away (starting episode 21). I know TVB is notorious for slicing their dramas but I started getting very annoyed when I scenes were not linked.

I've compiled a list of story lines where prior knowledge were never exerted ...
    click to show/hide spoilers

    1. Since when did Forensic specialist Man Hua Jie roomed with Mei Ren? Out of no where Man Hua was explaining how Mei Ren was a bit delusional and not really seeing things. Next thing you know, Man Hua Jie was her roomie and also helped her check out Lang Sir's date of birth for compatibility.

    2. Mei Ren failed out on landing Lang Sir therefore resorted to Pierre. Based on the episode chronology, it was at most a 2 week development however we don't know how they came together nor do we know why. These two are rather big parts in the series yet TVB decided to neglect their storyline.

    3. When did Mei Ren know Lang Sir had supernatural power? Episode 24, she accompany Lang Sir to the kidnap site of Jing Jing and Fred and said, "only you know I have this power so I came with you instead."

    4. Episode 25, Cheng Sir handed Lang Sir the evidence - knife and asked him to check his supernatural power for the true killer of Fred. When did Cheng Sir find out Lang Sir had supernatural powers?

    5. Lang Sir lost his power, however, we never truly knew how he received that power and how did it suddenly leave? Quite absurd to have it one second and lose it. It was vaguely mentioned in the beginning about a lightening struck him and suddenly he got the power. Was he struck by lightening again? Or the batteries died out?

As you can see, these stories were not very well developed. This isn't TVB's first time. Tai Chi had similar problems where Raymond and Myolie's love story wasn't convincing at all.

    This frustrated me badly!

Episode 20. When Pierre went to the police station to hand an examination/autopsy report to Long, Long has his vision. When he woke up he started muttering "I love you but you think I'm crazy" to Jing Jing. After that the scene moved to a pub where Jing Jing, Long, Mei Yan and Pierre were sitting together. There Mei Yan said "Oh, no wonder you always.. (forgot the exact dialogue)". I think that was when they explained to Mei Yan.

The series was never good to begin with so I don't have expectation for the ending. But still, the ending definitely goes down on record of 'worst ending'...it's illogically absurd and I was speechless!

Happy Ending is not the issue here. I will speak for myself, Contrarily, it's how they write an ending that makes a difference in good and bad ending/series.

its not about the happy ending.

its that throughout the whole series, its obviously comedic while throwing mystery into there.

JUST like in to break the unbreakable, they throw in some random emo ending where __________________________- (those who have watched it will know) and it totally doesnt' fit in with the rest of the story. it was completely unnecessary and just plain stupid.

i thoroughly enjoyed the entire series as a whole tho, although it paralled dayo and ada quite a bit.

also queenie and sonija look great.

like i mentioned previously as well, it worked in the 7th day, which i wouldn't exactly call a happy ending. but it fit in with the rest of the story.

its like throwing a curveball out there.

if you've watched kung fu dunk you'll know exactly what i mean. terrible.
