Somehow, I was infatuated with her within seconds...she is very pretty. And I like her songs as well.

$this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif') Yeah... this movie is both: confusing and fun! $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/happy.gif')

But it's pretty obvious to me that A LOT was edited out of this film that just adds to the confusion...

About Red and Amnesia, I think his feelings for her were much stronger than just a brotherly feeling of friendship. He cried when he thought she had died. Upon possessing him, Amnesia even asked him why he did want to be with her any more as if she knew he had deeper feeling for her.

What didn't make any sense for me was having Cecilia Cheung play both Dawn and Enigma. When Ying is reincarnated after Hollow dies, Wu Jing takes over the role. When Enigma dies and is reincarnated, another actress takes over from Cecilia. Having different looking actresses play Dawn and Enigma would've made more sense of the subplot of King Sky trying to get her to remember who she was.

I can' remember the name, but there's a well that contains the spirits of all those that have been reincarnated... and within there were many! If you run the DVD very slowly, this is where Enigma sees Dawn for the very first time. Dawn can briefly be seen coming towards her from within this well. For whatever reason, I think their interaction was cut from the movie.

Immediately afterwards, once King Sky is cast out of the well and dies, Enigma has clear recollection of who she is... she asks the apparently dead King Sky for her Moon Orb and if she can be his master once more to help him.

About Enigma dying, I agree... it didn't make any sense whatsoever for her to die that way. It was not necessary. Looked to me like King Sky was doing just fine battling Insomia with the "ultimate weapon," the Ming Fire Sword. For Enigma to jump into Insomnia was just ridiculous. $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://csc.ziyi.org/smilies/please.gif')

Still, overall, it was a pretty descent story. One that's impossible to understand with justone screening. And I'd think it deserves more than just 1 star.

Is she in love with Cecilia's big brother?</font></td></tr></table></td></tr></table></BLOCKQUOTE>Yes, I think Joy and Thunder did have a relationship. She comments on him never being alone again.

Miramax originally wanted to rerelease Legend of Zu as Zu Warriors with a greatly increased role for Ziyi's character from pieces from the cutting room floor, but test screenings of the result were very poor. That's why they abandoned Zu Warrior's release. I still have no idea what they're going to do about The Legend of Zu in N. America...

Hey, can we get back to the REVIEW of this movie? We could open a new Legend of Zu thread in the movie to discuss it further....

So, do you agree with the review that gives it 5STARS? if not, how many stars do you wanna give?

I'd give it 2 stars. Reasons are that I don't get the plot, the characters have no background info and aren't interesting, acting is quite plain, and the special effects aren't convincing like what others said.

4 out of 5 star... it did what it was suppose to do... remind us what the original was... a world of myth... and the charactor were interesting and the FX was pretty cool.

    1 star.

    All special effects, no substance.

Oh, yeah, you can argue with me about the 'DRAMATIC ELEMENTS' of the movie, like how blah blah's sacrifice is touching and moving, and how inspiring blah blah's courage is. But for me, I can't feel a thing for the paper-thin characters, thus making me not even bothering at all with the oh-so-incredible special effects here.

I'm glad it flopped that badly in HK.

Ever wondered why Tsui Hark hasn't made many movies since this one? Guy couldn't keep up with our rapidly changing time.

That movie was so horrible. I swear one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The effects look so fake and the acting in it sucks also. Plus the story was stupid, and so was that retarded annoying little fly. I'd give it a 0/5.
