I'm currently watching this series and it's really good. It reminds me of Trick with the quirky humor and female detective Shibata, but darker, with almost a film noir feel to it.

Yep. The movie got a little too weird for me towards the end, though. Have you watched this series yet, jade? If not, you should give it a try.

Whatever happened to Miki Nakatani? I looked at her profile and it seems that she hasn't been in any new series for awhile. She was really great as Shibata...definitely intelligent and kind-hearted, but with poor personal hygiene and no sense of direction.

Atsuro Wasabe I mean Watabe reminds me of Ethan Hawke for some reason.

I've only watched 3 episodes of Keizoku, and that was a year or two ago. The first thing that came to mind was "this is bizarre". I really loved Watabe Atsuro's Mayama.

Miki Nakatani's still in the entertainment industry but hasn't appeared in dramas in a long while. She has however been in quite a few high profile movies like Kiraware Matsuko no Issho last year.
