Default Was Deun Jing Tsun that bad a philanderer by the standards of his status and time?

Prince Deun Jing Tsun of the Dali Kingdom was known for his philandering ways (involved with at least six women at the same time). That sounds unconscionable by our modern standards, but for a prince of his era (12th Century China), was he really that bad? There have been Chinese emperors who'd supposedly had hundreds of wives.

Royalty having multiple wives is ok back then. What DZC did that was slightly different is that when he was with any one of the girls, he would promise to love them forever, be with them only, stay with them eternally. Then he disappears the next day.

oh, not only royalty but man having three wives, four concubines and a harem is also normal back then (and now too i may add, but that is another story ) as for DZC, he is the perfect example of a dashing rogue and charming rascal

I wonder if King Deun Jing Ming ever considered his younger brother's philandering ways to be an embarrassment to the family. If the king did have such a feeling, he never expressed it. Nevertheless, Deun Jing Tsun was next in the line of succession if Deun Jing Ming were to die or abdicate; the king must have been somewhat concerned by his brother's promiscuity in light of the responsibilities that Deun Jing Tsun needed to bear.

Promiscuity was not a problem then. It was only his wife who had a problem with it and I got the impression that he didn't marry the rest because of his wife. I think he promised her that he won't have concubines before marrying her as her tribe practices monogamy (can't remember if the tribe part was from the novel or added by tvb).
