    Xiao Yuanshan +1

    Never seen a pre-30 years guy beat the crap out of so many warriors at once. Zhou, Lin, or Zhang may be able to produce the same results, but their journey would pale in the intensity and raging suave that made Xiao Yuanshan seem so unstoppable and competent.

    The greatness of Xiao Yuanshan does not arise out of Shaolin techniques. He was already the champion of martial arts before setting foot in Shaolin. There's no information about his skillset. However, I concur with some readers' observation that Xiao Feng AND Xiao Yuanshan are in the same league in the sense that they could make wonders out of very basic martial arts. When Xiao Yuanshan competed 20 or so stances with Xiao Feng, he just used random elementary stances which Xiao Feng could not tell the origins to. In this sense, Xiao Yuanshan does not seem to "need" any advanced techniques to be a Great. That's why Jin Yong felt no need to furnish Xiao Yuanshan with specific fancy techniques.

    wait question, so that whole talk of "who stole what" from ol'Sweeps in DGSD 96/97 was just added into the tv series only?

    No, this scene happens in the novel, chapter 35 or 36 IIRC.

    ZBT for my vote. Biggest problem is if ZBT fought ZWJ or XYS, he would probably be more interested in their new martial arts he never seen then actually fighting. Midway through the fight, he would probably be on his knees and want to be their disciple.
