Was Kiu Fung born with the given name of "Fung," or was that a name given to him by his Han caretakers after he had been adopted? I find it strange that both his biological parents (the Sius) and his adoptive parents (the Kius) would just coincidentally give him the same name. If it had been the Sius who had originally named their son "Fung," how would the Kius (and others) have known that that was the boy's name? On the other hand, if the Kius named the boy "Fung," it doesn't explain why Siu Yeun San continued to use that name to address his son after the two were reunited.
