Default Could Hui Juk have still been alive at the time of the 1st Mt. Hua Sword Tournament?

One of the beneficial side effects of practicing the Bak Ming Sun Gung and other Siu Yiu Sect martial arts is increased longevity. Indeed, Mo Ngai Tze and Lee Chou Sui looked middle aged although each of them was actually very old, and Teen San Tung Lo looked like a teenager although she was actually an old woman.

Hui Juk eventually gained the inner power of all three and learned their skills. At the time, he was in his mid-twenties. Did he continue to age normally after that, or did his aging slow down dramatically as theirs did? If his aging was indeed arrested, is it possible that he was still alive at the time of the Mt. Hua Sword Tournament decades later? Could he have overlapped at least a few years with Central Divinity Wong Chung Yeung and the Greats? Hui Juk almost certainly lived through the time of Wong Seung and Dook Goo Kau Bai.

If Hui Juk were alive then whatever happened to Siu Yiu Sect?? Their martial arts were top notch but yet we don't hear about them after DGSD. They seem to possess all the greatest MA in the world yet we don't even hear about them mentioned in later generations at all...kinda weird no??

Quite normal actually, because only a handful of people in DGSD knew about XY Sect. They were very much secretive and even after XZ's leadership I find no reason for them to become public. That, or the sect could've 'died out'. Who really knows.

it's bizarre that xu zhu couldn't find someone to pass on his MA to in order to preserve the xiao yao sect while he did have time to teach xl18p + dog beating techniques to a leader of the beggar clan.
perhaps the only suitable reasons for the disappear of the Xiao Yao sect were earthquake and landslide. when xuzhu, his wife + his myrmidons were in the Divine Vulture cave, a strong earthquake occurred and the subsequent landslide buried them with all their elite MAs into oblivion.

Yang Guo & Zhou Botong said in Chapters 6, 11 & 25 of ROCH:
    - 这道姑也算得美了,只是还不及桃花岛郭伯母,更加不及我姑姑。
    - 原来郭伯母竟是这般美貌,小时候我却不觉得。
    - 龙姑娘,我瞧你品貌才智,和那小黄蓉不相上下,武功也跟她差不离。

possibly XYP's amazing skills in DGSD era which was equal to shaolin was not as impressive in condor trilogy era 150yrs later because new sects emerged. since vulture palace is located on tianshan which is in the northwest ;and in modern days is actually part of one of the former sovient satalite states, may be to far from southern song lands to be included as part of the central plains. so the experts of XYP ended as part of the jin empire in the north or mongolians and no longer a friend of the han nation. white camel sect from the kunlun regions is rather close to where vulture palace is located. maybe it has it's origins from there? XYP was a taosit sect in the north west and later kunlun became the dominate taoist origined sect in the west and quezhen became the dominating taoist sect in the north. was that a reason for it's decline?

I thought that the Siu Yiu Sect's top skills surpassed anything that Shaolin had during the DGSD era, with the possible exception of the Yik Gun Ging. As such, I imagine that the Siu Yiu Sect's martial arts were at a higher level than those of the CONDOR HEROES TRILOGY Greats, and possibly even better than such TRILOGY-era "super" arts such as the 9 Yum Jen Ging, the 9 Yeung Jen Ging, and the Ming Cult's Keen Kwun Dai Loi Yee.

if we go through the calculations, I came up with DGSD end- 1093 A.D and Hua Shan-1197 A.D. These calculations are calculated according to history. So there is a 104 year difference..., it's possible that XZ was still alive, but I have my doubts. We do have to take in account the era that they lived in. It's not like now in the U.S where the average person could live up to 70 something. Back then, it was normal to die around 50.

Just imagine, if Xuzhu continued to practice diligently throughout his life, by the time he reached 100+ years old, he could make random wulin appearances at night as an old beard-floating saint, a la Feng Qingyang... except 20 times stronger.

I don't see why Hiu Juk can't live past 100 yrs old since Z3F did too. But whether he did or not is really not that important as his sect kinda disappeared in wulin. It's a pity though to lose all those great MA.

Probably Xuzhu has to use his 99% internal to prevent himself from dying, but however he could still beat people like any of the other 3 evils?

Well, there is this one mysterious guy who had a drink with WCY, won a bet against him, get to see the 9 Yin manual and subsequently created the 9 Yang. Perhaps that was XZ.

He took one look at 9 Yin manual and thought, "Dude, the theory here is so shallow compared to those of Xiao Yao sect's. I can create a manual equal to this one in no time at all."

He then went to hide the new manual within the library of Shaolin, his original school.

I've always wondered: is the Xiao Yao sect the origin of the Carefree Palms that H7G knew?

He could probably live well past 120 or even more. Z3F lived well over 100 and I doubt he had even half as much internal power as XZ.

Xu Zhu was unlikely to live that long. Z3F could live up to a hundred cus he preserved his virginity. Xu Zhu would lose too much "yang energy" with all those ling jiu gong nubile females running around + theres meng gu

Hui Juk and the Janitor Monk never fought during DGSD, but despite the claims of Janitor Monk fans, I'm not totally sure that even the twentysomething Hui Juk of DGSD wouldn't give the Janitor Monk a run for his money...maybe not win, but at least make a fight out of it. After all, Kiu Fung was able to injure the Janitor Monk slightly, but Kau Mor Tze, who was at least Kiu Fung's equal, was completely unable to injure Hui Juk.

Dicky Cheung is a dick when it comes to canon. Pun so intended.
Burying his Dugu 9 Jian manual under an epitaph, Dugu Qiubai felt he has left his legacy for the next generation. He then moved to Shaolin to study Buddhism, sweep floors and tap elite fighters.
