Z3F should be able to take care of XF.

WCY would probably lose to DFBB though. hard to decide.

I agree on Z3F > XF. But what if we were to switch it to Z3F matching up against DFBB and WCY against XF (since you think DFBB > XF from the Death Match thread)?

Internally, Wang Chongyang should be much higher than Xiao Feng. In terms of ferocity of fighting, Xiao Feng should be higher than Wang Chongyang.

Given Xiao Feng's difficulty fighting MRF + YTZ, I'd give that fight to Wang Chongyang because WCY's techniques are also very good and add that to his stronger internal, he should be able to win.

If XF can crap out a Dragon Palm acknowledged by JY as 'stronger' than the fully 9 Yin trained GJ, I don't see how XF can have much weaker internal to GJ. And how a fully 9 Yin trained GJ can have weaker internal to WCY.

You can't just say XF has a 'fiercer' mentality so his palm is stronger. The palm is still fueled by inner power. You can't get something for nothing.

By the way, when Jin Yong acknowledged that Xiao Feng > Guo Jing, he didn't say by how much. Xiao Feng could be 10% better, 25% better, 50% better, 200% better, or even more, than Guo Jing.

This is in the same vein as when Sweeper Monk acknowledged that Sweeper Monk > Xiao Feng. He did not say by how much. We all know Sweeper Monk is much superior to Xiao Feng, so it's not out of the question that Xiao Feng could be much superior to Guo Jing (and the other Greats, including Wang Chongyang, by association).

Jin Yong's changes in the 3rd edition showed that author's intent was for WCY to retain his superiority throughout; this was done with deliberate planning and intent by the author to address what he obviously saw as a specific and incorrect notion on the part of the readership. Which could mean that WCY was still superior to all the Greats including Guo Jing. However, people choose to cling to Zhou Botong's assessment and how his hero worship would bias his opinion. Or to the 7 Disciples and say how they're martial arts just wasn't good enough to make an accurate assessment of how good their master's martial arts was. People continue to cling to old facts and ideas. Heck, we still use Jinlun Fawang (Gold Wheel Monk) when it has been Jinlun GUOSHI (Gold Wheel Priest) for many, many years now.
