    This is **SO** hilarious!
There are a lot of local references and nuances, so sufficient exposure to the local culture will enable you to see the entire length, breadth and depth of the jokes!

Basically, it's about life in a small town called Muar in the south-west of Malaysia, and some of the socio-politico-economic idiosyncrasies of the day. Translation will not do it justice. You've just got to be Mandarin-&-Hokkien-speaking Malaysian to appreciate it in its full funniness!

Read the subtitles. The jokes are also quite funny in Mandarin and Cantonese (or whatever dialect you read Chinese in)!

It helps if you're a Muarian too, or just familiar with Muar.

I forgot already, I think once I read a post of you saying you're working in an education industry and other things, lol I think that is the case, the way the Sg. government put an emphasize on the mandarin language.

Yep it's him. It's basically the same style... his lyrics might be interesting but musically there's no variation. Hear them once and you've heard 'em all. I did like Kawanku though... if only for the dig at Cantonese and Singaporeans.

As for the national anthem... I guess he'd have gotten away with it if he had used any random patriotic song. But then again, it wouldn't have had the same impact. I personally find 'Negarakuku' quite clever if disrespectful. Then again, I don't see how prosecuting him is going to help.
