7 Masters of Quanzhen vs 7 Experts from DGSD

The 7 masters of Quanzhen consists of.... well, the 7 masters of Quanzhen! Assume that the ones which survived into ROCH are stronger, so there are some discrepencies within the 7 masters.

The 7 Experts from DGSD consist of:

1. Gao Shengtai, who could launch a long distance attack by blowing air into his flute.
2. Grandfather Tan, who could launch a triple-powered long distance attack. This wave of 3 consecutive palm attacks neutralized a single attack by Xiao Feng! Not to mention, he endured a heavy weight of several thousand pounds on his shoulder!
3. Zhao Qiansun, whose bone-compression technique impressed Qiao Feng, and whose long distance attack forced Qiao Feng to block!
4. Deng Baichuan, whose roar was heard throughout the mountains, and who could launch a powerful LDA to knockout his opponent even while poisoned.
5. Granny Yu of Lingjiu Palace, who was described to be a "First Class Expert" whose body could not be moved by 50% of Abbot Xuanci's strength.
6. Senior Boss Wu, who is only slightly inferior to Murong Fu, and who intercepted an object tossed by SWORD GOD from 3+ Chinese miles away.
7. Island/Cave Lord Duanmu Yuan, whose spitting skill impressed Murong Fu by dynamically changing its path in mid air to follow its target.

Tough, but I have to vote for the DGSD experts, for one simple reason; the Big Dipper formation was developed (and refined) by Quanzhen in order for the seven of them to meld their powers together against a single, much stronger opponent; I have my own doubts about its efficacy against multiple opponents who are probably somewhat stronger.

That's the point I was making though. QZ can take a Great with a formation, because that's what their formation was designed by WCY to do; help them fight a SINGLE opponent (Ouyang Feng) who was much superior to them in martial arts. Up against multiple opponents, though, it might not have been as effective, especially judging by their miserable performance in ROCH against Huo Du and his lackeys.

Except their performance wasn't anything bad at all in ROCH. In the CY Temple itself they were quite easily repelling all attackers and Hou Du wasn't quite ready to attack himself either.

As for the formation outside, it was bypassed and then defeated by someone who's kinda out of their league and probably understood the formation better than they did.

At least one of the masters (Hao Datong) had already suffered injuries in the battle, and it took Guo Jing's arrival for the Quanzhen people to feel that their sect had 'escaped danger'. This by just Huo Du and his goons. Not very impressive at all to me.

QZ was only in danger because some of the 7 members were not at the mountain when Huo Du attacked. In addition, Hao Datong was suprised attacked (albeit due to underestimating the opponent) before the daoists got into formation. So there were really only 3 taoists using a formation that was designed for 7. That's not bad considering Huo Du was a pretty formidable opponent in ROCH.

I think the Dipper Formation can work with mutiple opponents as evidenced by the fact that when QZ sect helped out the battle of Xiang Yang, the QZ people were all using Dipper Formations.
I chose QZ because of the chemistry there is. And who said that QZ people can launch LDA's? Wudang Hero 4, Yin Tian Zheng, Huo Du all were able to launch LDAs and the QZ elders don't seem inferior to any of them, at the very least not Huo Du.
