I like Godzilla but, so far, have never heard or read anyone say anything nice about it.

Which Godzilla? The American remake? I didnt really like that one.
You are right, I did not like it.
This is odd. I loved Magnolia, while I walked out on The Thin Red Line.Originally posted by levendis d'orange
Hmmm, "Magnolia" and "The Thin Red Line" ........... bah, they just don't get it.
Anyway, I don't think I've ever loved a movie that was hated by both general movie audiences and reviewers. I guess the only movie I liked that wasn't "appropriate" for me were the two Pokemon movies. I only watched because my parents wouldn't sit through 90 minutes of it with my little sister. But I found the movie absolutely hilarious in a very stupid kind of a way. The whole movie was so unbelievably stupid that it was entertaining. Pokemon language was especially cool. I want to speak it.
Meh. Meh. Mehhhhhh... Meh-meh-meh. MEH!! Meh.
i really like classical movies or musical just like sound of music, my fair lady and the west side story.
these kind of movies rarely show on tv nowadays because very little people know how to appreciate them.
Hey susie, I happen to own all three of the movies you mentioned. First I bought the LD but since my player's jammed, now I also have the DVD.
The Women (1939), most of my friends despise it not because it's classic (and b/w) but coz all of the stars in it are female, but I actually find this movie very funny and entertaining with smart and witty dialogues.
When I wake up in the morning I always remind myself to 'Seize the Day.'
belki, you really have those DVD? that's great!
I also have His Girl Friday, The Philadelphia Story, Woman of the Year, It Happened One Night, and lots more. I just love classic movies.

Fist Power and Star Wars Episode I & II
Another to add is Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Definetly better than the first one.
The Cider House Rules: think it's more like pple dun know abt it...
The Terminal: I found it charming, some of my frens found it unrealistic and a waste of time
Dirty Dancing 2 - Havana Nights: falls short in the story department but hot dancing, great music and a cute lead ^o^
"We set out to change the world... ended up just changing ourselves."
"What's wrong with that?"
"Nothing, if you don't look at the world."
I like She's All That and Cider House Rules. Yeah.
Swifty, Writing
Film and book reviews, short films, videos from a Malaysian filmmaker based in Tokyo
I like 'Legend of Zu' (that CGI-laden Tsui Hark film), but many people seem to not like it.
Another film I like that a majority of viewers think it's crappy is 'Twin Effects 2 : The Huadu Chronicles: Blade of the Rose' .
I liked this one movie with Bill Murray and Scarlet Johansen. I'm really sure it's Lost In Translation. But yeah, most people I know hated that movie and found it very slow paced and boring. To me, I loved it for some odd reason. Just wish they could've taken out that stupid (which absolutely had no meaning or effect to the plot of the movie) strip club scene.
Without that part the movie would've been rated PG instead of rated R. But I think that with more of a younger audience watching there would even be more ranting going on about the movie. I think in order to enjoy the movie you have to be mature and understand more about life in general to really understand and enjoy and appreciate the film much more. And most of my friends are immature and really don't undertand things in life all to well (in other words all they know are parties, drinking, friends, and sex, the typical teen), and that's the main reason why all of them hate it. I always find it impossible to watch this movie with someone too. It's more of a film suited for viewing by yourself. Again, another wierd thing I find about the movie.
