Hehe, i was in a Heyx3 mood yesterday so i went and search for more telephone box segments to watch and found 2 Arashi ones that were subbed. I've only seen a couple of those including KAT-TUN, Hey! Say! JUMP, and Tackey & Tsubasa. I still get the most kicks out of the KAT-TUN one especially where the phone makes Jin end the segment with one of his infamous American jokes. Hey! Say!'s wasn't too entertaining as the rest of them. I did like the Arashi one where each member had to name something unbelievable about another member and every single one of them, except for Ohno, pointed out something about Ohno. I thought it was funny how it was like a unanimous vote for Ohno. So i know i asked this already but is it really random when these telephone box segments occur? They're just so entertaining to watch.

I did make myself watch the NEWS one from April, strawberry. It was quite funny especially the part where Koyama falls for that April fool's joke. "We're nothing without Yamapi." What a hoot. Koyama and his karaoke antics were quite goofy too. I had heard about Yamapi being asked to play the Wii Fit but when i was watching it, i expected whatever he was going to be doing to be more interactive. But he did do well and scored the highest with those hula hoops.

I also watched the Heyx3 episode where KAT-TUN performed LIPS back in February. That was alright but not as funny as the more recent one that they appeared in. I liked seeing Kame doing his so-called impersonation though and then feeling silly and trying to stifle his laughter afterwards.

I'm looking forward to seeing KAT-TUN in their MS appearance from today. I knew they were doing a medley but i didn't realize how special it was going to be. Per jpopsuki, this is their special medley on MS:
    ~Special Medley~
             DON'T U EVER STOP
             PARASITE
             w/o notice??
             Natsu no Basho
             LOVEJUICE
             Ai no Hana
             SMACK

That's really nifty they're performing all of their solos from the LEs of Don't U Ever Stop. The only solos i've listened to are Ueda's and Maru's 'cause at the time, i didn't preorder theirs. But after listening to Ueda's over and over again, i just decided to get that one too. Ai no Hana is a really pretty song. I kinda lucked out with that since Ueda's and Maru's LE wasn't as popular as the other two and so i was still able to snag it. Anyway, i'm just waiting for my singles to come before i listen to the solos. And then after that, i'll probably watch the latest MS episode. I'll probably watch the rest of the episode in the mean time since Hey! Say! JUMP is on there and ayaka is back for another Okaeri performance.

BTW, which J-music variety shows do you guys prefer? I was first exposed to MS so i've caught a lot of those episodes but those 2 hosts are pretty darn boring. Not that i want to watch off the wall antics from comedians who are also hosts of a music variety show, but it definitely helps liven up the mood quite a bit. I still have yet to watch any Utaban episodes. I've got some but i just never got around to watching them. Though i did watch one with Utada Hikaru who got a surprise visit from Leah Dizon. It wasn't subbed so i didn't know what was said exactly. I was mainly watching it to hear Utada and Leah converse in English.

Whoa, this is a really long post. I guess i was on a roll and just kept babbling. Hope you guys don't mind reading it.

I have seen that Arashi telephone box you mentioned..its pretty entertaining...but i have no idea when it pops out..
I think I am the only one gushing about Pi's smile on hey 3....no wonder I am a fan lol.

Don't worry about the long post, i am fine reading it. All the variety shows including Utaban are not consistently interesting to watch, some episodes get me more than others...it does not mean just becasue someone I likes is on it, i would like that episode, the entertianment value counts in my case. yes MS host are boring. I always thought they were kind of severe looking and did not suit how a pop music show's style should be like but I am so used to it by now.

Yeah, it's every Friday. It's the KAT-TUN Style (normally hosted by Junno and Koki) Kame Special and his radio program is called Kase by Kase.

Does NEWS have their own radio program(s)?

Hehe, Jin's solo is my favorite solo out of the whole group. I love how it sounds (definitely very JT-esque) and his English is pretty decent. If he had a really bad accent, i don't think i would've been able to listen to it as much despite the good beat. Ueda's solo is my 2nd favorite. It's such a pretty song. Not really sure about the rest of them. I think i would Koki's is next because i prefer rock music though i'm not big on Koki screaming "I eat you" as one of the main lines. Hehe. And then comes Kame's and Junno's solos though i'm not sure which one i like more out of the two. Maybe Kame's a little more? I'm still not really sure. And as for Maru, well, i like his solo the least. I guess i'm just not big on the way the song sounds.

What about the rest of you guys? Any favorites/least favorites?

lol don't ask me since u know the answer *being biased* but well since it's Jin's voice, i can't argue that much about the song

Heii my friend also said it's like JT-ish But to be honest i don't really like this type kind of song tho, i luv slow ballad things and JIn's voice can do much better if he sing this kind of genre.

Upss i rarely hear other's member song tho so can give my opinion

Haha, yeah, i could kind of predict that but then you never know until you ask. Jin is still my favorite singing wise but if i don't like the song, there's nothing much that Jin's voice could do to make me like it. Anyway, i actually like the kind of songs that JT sings. They're really catchy and fun to listen to. I remember i just had to go right after work to buy JT's Future Sex/Love Sounds album the day it came out. I tried not to look like a fan and was nonchalantly looking for it in the store. It was funny that i ran into this one other girl who was trying to do the same thing as me and not look like a groupie or something. LOL. Anyway, the place where i got it at had an exclusive bonus track on the album that you could only get at that store. If only it were that easy to get KAT-TUN albums here.

So i guess you really just like Jin then, tanteun, versus the group as a whole? I've grown to really like the others too. Actually, i think i kinda like Kame more than Jin by now. Still, sometimes i like them about the same but lately i guess Kame has caught my eye more. Anyway, i just like watching how they interact with each other. It can be quite entertaining.

As for me, I didn't really hear all solos yet...only that miserable peep during MS. I chanced upon Jin's full song by accident really one night and I like it! I think I am the only one around me that does! ha! I like the tune esp the beginning but didn't realise the lyrics were little dirty anyway, its not the worse so dai joubu!

btw, here's Arashi's new single for the Hana Yori movie...I do think its a nice song thus sharing it here with you...

Hehe, no problem. This thread has been on the rather quiet side.

You should listen to the rest of the solos and give us your thoughts, strawberry. I really dig Jin's solo too. I love the way it sounds. It has a really good beat and it makes you want to dance. I haven't really read the lyrics but i can imagine that it's dirty. I mean, just look at the title, LOVEJUICE. Good grief, Jin. Hehe. Even when i can understand the lyrics as they're being sung, i just don't pay attention to them. Still, Jin did a good job singing in English and coming up with the lyrics for his solo.

I've been seeing posts for Arashi's new single for HYD but i haven't listened to it until i clicked on your link. I'm not as big on Arashi's music and their style but i think that One Love is a nice song. Plus, i started listening to Arashi first so it's nice to hear what some of their new songs sound like. So are you looking forward to seeing the movie, strawberry? I'm not as big on HYD either but i will watch the movie since i've already watched both seasons for the series and it's always nice to have closure.

One of my links has the lyrics to love juice if you are curious...

I am not a Hana Yori fan too, didn't really like the series but the movie looks good! better than Kurosagi imo and I like 'One love'. i didn't really dig 'Wish' nor 'Love so Sweet' previously.

Thanks. I actually bought all 3 LEs of DON'T U EVER STOP so i have the liner notes that have the lyrics for LOVEJUICE. So i just didn't feel like reading it. Hehe. I'm just really lazy. Maybe i'll go read it later so that i can actually sing along. LOL.

Hmm, i never watched the Kurosagi series and i probably won't either. So i can't really compare there. But i'm surprised that you're not as big of a HYD fan. It seems like the majority of people are big fans of HYD. I also heard that a lot of people prefer HYD over the TW version of it (ie, Meteor Garden). I still haven't seen MG though. I also think that One Love is better than WISH and Love So Sweet too. Though if i were to pick, i prefer WISH over Love So Sweet.

Just curious, how many trailers for the HYD movie have been released? I didn't click on your link since i've already watched a trailer (subbed too). Watching it once was good enough for me. Hmm, i wonder what Rui is up to. The trailer is making him look really suspicious.

Hmm, i still haven't gotten into watching dramas with Yamapi. None of them really piqued my interest. And that Code Blue series which he's about to star in, well, that one i definitely won't be watching. I'm quite tired of the hospital scene. Grey's Anatomy is more than enough for me. But if i'm ever looking to watch a Yamapi series, i'll give Kurosagi a try.

I've been downloading the subbed version of Gokusen 3 but haven't started watching it yet. It doesn't really have anyone i'm interested in and since i'm a bit tired of the same ol' Gokusen antics (which i'm sure the 3rd installment has too), i'll just wait to watch it after it's done being subbed. I plan to watch it for the same reason i'm watching the HYD movie: closure. I'm all about closure. Unless it's just plain bad. Hehe. So have you been following up on it, strawberry?

You know, i heard that there might be a rumored Gokusen movie which would be more Gokusen 3-focused but would have possible appearances from Oguri Shun, Koike Teppei, Kame and Jin. Kinda weird if there's no Sawada Shin appearance though since he's basically the character in Gokusen. But not really sure if this supposed movie will even be happening. Though i also heard there might be this Gokusen special that will air during the 24-hour tv thing and for that i thought i read that MatsuJun would make an appearance (along with Kame and Jin), which i guess would make sense since Arashi are hosting the event this year. I can't really find where i read that but i do remember reading it. Anyway, i guess we will see if anything post-Gokusen 3 comes about.

You have not seen Nobuta too with Kame and Yamapi? then you should...for Kame's sake..lol

Coming back to Gokusen, I was totally not interested in the drama until I saw that Haruma Miura's rebellious high school student looks really interesting...thus my interest is piqued and I want to watch Gokusen 3 now.
