And then in a series like Butterfly Lovers, no one really knows martial arts. Damn, that geezer has once again given us another tough clue~! I don't remember the last time I ever answered his clue right.

Romance of the Book and Sword?

Well, we'll pit Book and Sword against the clues. First off, the clues I described are intended to be for the main character. I believe the main character is Chan Ka Lok? But just to make it interesting, we'll assume the 14th Brother is the lead. :P Yu Yue Tung is a wanted Red Flower Society hero. But I don't know if he fits the description of a hero, then a wanted man, then a hero again. And another clue was a lot of people hated this person because they misunderstood him. Yue Tong was in love with his Fourth Brother's wife, but there wasn't a huge amount of people that hated him.

Finally, you do find it entertaining to call me old geezer, isn't that right? :P Can you at least call me by what Ma Tai Lo calls old folks in Kindred Spirit, "Kei Ying?" At least then I can refer myself as Wong Kei Ying.

I've seen this series years ago and seriously, I do not see how your clues connects to the series. Maybe it's been too long since I watched it. But I don't remember Emily Kwan gender being confusing that Chin Siu Ho would have to question his sexual orientation. Even Emily's sister in the series, Elaine wasn't gender bender. Can't possibly be Carol Yeung.

Here we go. Chin Siu Ho played Chie Yue, the main protagonist. If you recall his first scene in the series, he was racing Carol in a loser drinks huge bottles of wine. He wins and instead of forcing Carol to drink, he and his colleagues dump the bottles all over Carol. He was also extremely arrogant in his first duel. Soon he underwent a huge change. His master was killed and his whole clan was wiped out. He was framed for killing the God of Knives, Fung Yat Lui played by Chu Tit Wor. He was accused of murdering his best friend Fung Tin Nam, played by Jimmy Au. The whole world suspected him of possessing "Por Doe," the weapon wielded by Fung Yat Lui. Due to all these facts, everyone was after Chie Yue. His lover wanted to avenge Fung Yat Lui, his best friend's twin brother wanted to avenge Fung Tin Nam and the whole world wanted him to hand over the knife. Therefore, people hated him because of misunderstandings. He started off as a big hero when he "supposedly" defeated the main antagonist. Then because of misunderstandings he was a wanted man. Then when the main villain was terrorizing the world again, he mastered the Armless Knife Stances and was able to save the world from destruction and was praised by the whole world as hero again.

Chie Yue was indeed a very powerful martial artist in the series. However, he was unable to beat the main antagonist. Although he used some of his internal energy prior to the final battle, I had to assume he was unable to beat the final boss due to the results of the match. In addition both of the characters learned the final stage of the supreme martial arts in the series, however Chie Yue was missing an arm and his prior level seemed to be below that of the antagonist.

The heterosexual thing was thrown in there as a joke actually. LOL. I was hoping to confuse people with it by making them think along the lines of Dong Fong Bat Bai(Jet Li) and only to hit a dead end because Jet's version was a movie and not a TVB production. However, this clue wasn't totally made up. Chie Yue's love interest, Fung Fai Suet, played by Emily Kwan Bo Wai was the main antagonist of this series. She was mad at the world over gender stereotypes. Her clan did not want her to be the next successor because she was a female. Therefore, they plotted to murder her father. From then on, she dresses up as "Gung Chi Dan," and murders many people in wulin. Gung Chi Dan dresses up primarily as a male, but sometimes reverts to being a female and no one in the world knows the gender of this mysterious evil. There were also scenes in the series where Emily was dressed as Jimmy Au and was flirting with Chin Siu Ho which made him a little uncomfortable. So the clue wasn't totally made up, just misleading that's all.

What I was referring to when I stated "apparently he's extremely quick" with a weapon, was the club he was from. If you remember the nitty gritty details of the series, Chie Yue started off as the eldest disciple of "Fai Doe Moon" or the Fast Knife Club. So judging by the name of his club, he's apparently a fast wielder of the knife, right?

The whole story revolved around the treasure in the knife.

Sorry, its a pretty bad plot summary.........
