It's wuxia, but I don't believe it's written by any author. Maybe I'm just being stingy with the clues. I'll reveal it in the next little bit if there are no more guesses.

One final clue....the name of the main protagonist resembles a Jin Yong character...well...sort of. .

I know of this series but I've never watched it before. So those clues are really useless to me.
