Default Hui Juk = Cheung Mo Gei MK-II?

When it came time for Jin Yong to characterize Hui Juk, it seemed that Jin Yong looked backwards to one of his earlier characters, Cheung Mo Gei, for inspiration. Consider these similarities between Hui Juk and Cheung Mo Gei.

    1. Both became orphans when their parents committed suicide in disgrace in the presence of much of wulin.

    2. Both gained huge amounts of inner power before learning any fighting techniques.

    3. The martial arts they practiced made them extraordinarily resistant to injury.

    4. Both became leaders of powerful, but secretive organizations that operated outside of and were often at odds with mainstream wulin.

    5. Both became involved with women affiliated with foreign royalty or nobility.

    6. Both had strong pacifistic leanings.

Ken Lao Qianbei, may I ask, what does "MK-II" mean? (seriously).
And I don't think Zhang Wuji did not know any fighting techniques before mastering the 9 Yang. In fact he memorized all the complex martial arts knowledge of Xie Xun.
Yang Guo & Zhou Botong said in Chapters 6, 11 & 25 of ROCH:
    - 这道姑也算得美了,只是还不及桃花岛郭伯母,更加不及我姑姑。
    - 原来郭伯母竟是这般美貌,小时候我却不觉得。
    - 龙姑娘,我瞧你品貌才智,和那小黄蓉不相上下,武功也跟她差不离。

MK II == Mark 2 or Make 2.

So ITEM MKII would be the second iteration of ITEM (and usually an upgrade in some way).

"MK-II" is short for "Mark-2," referring to the second or refined version of a prototype. It's typically used to name the second machine in a series of similar models.

Both Hui Juk and Cheung Mo Gei had some fundamental martial arts knowledge even before they gained massive inner power, but neither could fight very well. All Hui Juk had was a little basic training in Shaolin martial arts; Cheung Mo Gei learned something of martial arts theory from his biological father, his godfather, his grandteacher, and martial uncles, but didn't really have any effective fighting techniques until after he mastered the 9 Yeung Jen Ging.

Yes, but Jin Yong created Hui Juk years after he had created Cheung Mo Gei, so from a real world perspective, Hui Juk would be the derivative and Cheung Mo Gei the prototype.

DGSD is, in a way, Jin Yong's 'Brothers Karamazov'. In the sense that he recycled some of his old characters from the various books he wrote, tweaked them, and put them all together in one book.
