Yup. That's what I thought too. Her face was so round and full when she was in Young Warrior and Fairies of LiaoZhai. I think she looks better now

Liu Shi Shi *has* gotten thinner! I started noticing it in the new Chinese Paladin 3. I find that every actress sees to shrink and get thinner when they get more famous. The pressures of working in an environment when being "thin" is considered beautiful, I guess....

I actually miss her rounder, fuller face. It makes it look more baby-faced.

Oh well, there's still no denying that LSS is a beautiful girl. She's thinner now but not anorexic looking She looks so gorgoeus in those new costume pics! Thanks for sharing!

Yuan Hong's costume resembles Takeshi Kaneshiro from "The House of Dagger". Love the color choice and designs of the costumes for this drama (also very similar to "The Young Warrior). He look handsome, but not too fond of the long beard. The first picture reminds me of Mulan...the cartoon...

I think she was skinny back then and still now, she just lost all that baby fat on her face to match her skinny body now , but indeed still very beautiful...

LOL...I know right? I am okay with the shadows on his face, but the huge beard? It is so *ugh*, wish they made better choice on the huge beard look..like a different kind of hair and not as messy looking .

Well the reason for the hair on his face was because Yuan Hong looks too young to be the great General, so they have to make him look older..just as his role as Yelu Xie in the Young Warriors.

I'm not familiar with her either. She is a Taiwanese actress and apparently must be a good actress since the director chose her after Liu Shi Shi turned down that role. Actually, the director Li Guo Li chose Liu Shi Shi for the main female lead, but she find the role of the princess more appealing.

I heard this would be Janine's first ancient drama. Here is a modern picture of her. Her costume photos has not been revealed yet.

I'm a fan of Yuan Hong/Liu Shi Shi, so I don't mind seeing them as a couple more often. But you are right, too many times can be a bore. This drama would only be their second time as love interests out of the 5 collaborations together, since in Fantasy Zhu Xian(keeping my fingers crossed it would become a drama-I would like to see Hu Ge/Liu Shi Shi as a couple too) they would be enemies...LOL
