I'm not familiar with her either. She is a Taiwanese actress and apparently must be a good actress since the director chose her after Liu Shi Shi turned down that role. Actually, the director Li Guo Li chose Liu Shi Shi for the main female lead, but she find the role of the princess more appealing.

I heard this would be Janine's first ancient drama. Here is a modern picture of her. Her costume photos has not been revealed yet.

I'm a fan of Yuan Hong/Liu Shi Shi, so I don't mind seeing them as a couple more often. But you are right, too many times can be a bore. This drama would only be their second time as love interests out of the 5 collaborations together, since in Fantasy Zhu Xian(keeping my fingers crossed it would become a drama-I would like to see Hu Ge/Liu Shi Shi as a couple too) they would be enemies...LOL

**Li Qian and Zheng lin will also be joining the cast.

I wouldn’t get too excited just yet …I haven’t heard of any confirmation that this will become a serie. But we can always hope…I think the storyline would make a great drama.

Well the reason for the hair on his face was because Yuan Hong looks too young to be the great General, so they have to make him look older..just as his role as Yelu Xie in the Young Warriors.

yeah but the facial hair he had in young warriors was actually sexy! this is just like a mess of hair. the other two look better though, so hopefully they won't go all out and have a bush on his face

Yep...I agree. By far, she look quite exquisite in this serie in term of costumes and hairstyles. That was why she was excited to play the princess..."finally lavish costumes"..compared to her plain style in the other series. Also I like to add, I enjoyed all of her fighting scenes in her series...so beautiful and elegent...

wow she does look pretty good in the costume and shi shi also. I think the costumes look pretty good but then I am not really fond of them making two female lead's costumes so similar. They need to be more creative. And Shi shi definitely looks a lot prettier now than before.

Not quite sure who will end up with whom. It's only natural that we would think the 1st male lead(Yuan Hong) will end up with the 1st female lead(Janine), and the 2nd male/female would end up with each other. But there's no mentioning of Shi shi's character having any romance with the 2nd male lead(Edwin Siu) yet. All I know is that Yuan Hong/Janine/Shishi's character will be in a love triangle and he has to choose between the two (who to love...or who he loves more).

I do hope that Shishi will have another love interest beside Yuan Hong's character. It should make her character in the serie even more interesting. I also wanted to see if she will have chemistry with "other" male actors beside Yuan Hong
