One, Guli is from an Ethnic minority (the female lead in DMY was Ethnic?), and she have the look for the role.

Two, she's now a Tangren artist (one of Tangren's artist must lead the production).

Three, though she's inexperience but Karen didn't seem to mind it before (LSS was inexperienced but her first role with Tangren was Ms. Luo and got to be paired with the well-known Peter Ho, though still lack the experience, her second project with Tangren was second female lead in LOCH).

Congratulations to GLNZ! I don't think she will take female lead since Tangren already has a more experienced and popular actress who wants the role and I don't think Karen would choose her over LSS. I guess it's still possible possible, but I really hope this doesn't happen!

I think it's a mistake if Karen lets go of JJF. Even while he was at school and hadn't starred in a drama yet, it was said on the Happy Camp episode that he was on that many companies were already looking to sign him on.

Congratulations to Guli! I agree with Dragon. There's still a possibility of her being cast as lead in DMY, but since LSS has expressed her interest in playing Jin Yu, I doubt Karen will choose a new artist over the current popular one (she can also 'strike the metal while it's hot' by letting LSS lead).

On another note, I can't imagine Guli as Li Yan (scheming beauty, danced her way into being an Imperial Consort). Her face just looks too naive for the role.

JJF was signed before GXT? Then I'm guessing that Tangren was one of the companies that were looking to sign him as mentioned in the Happy Camp episode and they did end up signing him around then.

Hmmmmmmm....I believe GXT signed before JJF and even before LGX, before YH left.

LGX signed around the filming of Strange Hero, that's why he's got a minor role in that series. And his debut series was BBJX.

It's not until during/after XYS filming that JJF signed with Tangren (saw fans talking about it on baidu forum, but not quite sure if it was true or not during that time).

Remember this video when HG and YH renewed with Tangren? If I'm not mistaken, GXT either already signed or signed around this time (that's why she's with them at this Shanghai Film Fesitval 2010).
