I'm not sure what "哇" (wa) or "瓦斯" (wa si) is referring to. Maybe it's referring to Wallace's English name? It can refer to either Wallace Chung or Wallace Huo. But maybe Wallace Chung because his nickname is "小哇". Basically the sentence by LN_Little Nine plays on the sounds of "wa", "si" and "shi". And "wa" is Shi Shi's idol too, heh!

Looks like LSS is not the female lead in "The Next Miracle". The article actually didn't say anything about what role she will be playing, but she's probably a supporting character.

The male lead is Qin Hao (秦昊), who's a Best Actor Golden Horse Award nominee (Golden Horse Awards is Taiwan's annual film/TV awards ceremony). He will be taking on the key role of a clinically depressed youth, Rocky, an 18-year-old high school student who failed to graduate. He then meets his soul mate played by actress Monica Mok (莫小棋) who inspires him to overcome his depression. The film will chronicle Rocky's struggles in his fight against clinical depression and various obstacles to finally establish a successful business. The character of Rocky ages from 18 to 38 in this movie, so the film is set over a 20-year period. Monica Mok is the female lead - she's a Mainland actress in her early 30s and a graduate of Shanghai Theatre Academy. Other stars include Taiwanese idols Tony Yang (杨佑宁) and Tang Zhen Gang (唐振刚) and veteran Taiwanese actor Zhang Guo Zhu (张国柱) who acted as Peter Ho/Ou Chen's butler in Summer's Bubble.

This is a Taiwanese production helmed by a Taiwanese woman producer Ye Ru Fen (叶如芬) who was one of the numerous assistant producers of John Woo's BIG Hong Kong-Taiwan-Japan-Korea project, Red Cliff I & II. I guess this will be LSS first venture into the Taiwan market. Both Qin Hao and Monica Mok have been active in the Taiwan market for most of their careers.

Storyline for "The Next Miracle" sounds like your typical Taiwanese Second New Wave type of movie/drama - usually about isolation, despair and love of young adults living in modern day urban Taipei. But this movie will be filmed in Hangzhou, China. So is this about young Mainland youths? Or are they just filming in China because it's cheaper?

YH seems to be more of a horse person. E.g. in LOCH2008 BTS pics, there are pics of him petting horses, pulling horses, but no pic of Hu Ge with any horse even tho Hu Ge's character Guo Jing is suppose to be an amazin horseman. Same for BTS pics of Fog of Dragons. Also in YH's wei bo, he has a lot of pics of himself with his horses in Wuhan.

I haven't been following Taiwanese movies/dramas closely for the past 5 years. They are all modern era with the same type of plots that have become tired, recycled and cliche. IMO the Koreans have FAR surpassed the Taiwanese in this genre. So even though I'm studying in Taiwan I only watch Korean dramas. I only caught on to Mainland dramas this year when I happened to catch a glimpse of Yuan Hong in LOCH at a local DVD store.

I might watch this just because Liu Shi Shi is in it but I don't think she stands out in modern clothes. I always thought she had that delicate ancient Chinese beauty look.

Shi Shi's cats are so cute but her cat looks sooo uncomfortable with Yuan Hong LOL When a cat's tail is standing up stiff like that, it means it's terror-stricken

I too prefer ancient series over modern, and probably will watch this for LSS. I agree, she does look better as an ancient beauty. Though, I think it's the wardrobe and make-up for this movie...it looks so bland. You have got to be kidding???!!!! Her name is Jiayi and she is doing the chasing again???? Her role is like a modern version of princess Jiayi chasing after Lin Mufei...always supporting him and him loving another woman. Maybe that's why she got the role?? The producer/director saw that LSS was so good at chasing after the male lead....that is her trademark role...LOL!!! Poor LSS.....hehehe
