She looks so much taller in that media interview than she did in the Strange Hero ones, lol. It's partly the heels, but I'm sure the height of the guys had something to do with it.

LOL, Nicky and LSS have a lot of bed scenes.

Well that's because her main love interest is Nicky who's about my height (1.73m - but I'm a girl!). LSS on heels sees eye-to-eye with Nicky. Kevin and Wallace are still taller than LSS on heels. Ma Tianyu and Edwin are even taller.

I agree Nicky does look like he will have a lot of screen presence in the trailer, but I'm still not keen on the bed scenes.

I didn't see Guo Zhenni and Guo Xiaoting on stage though.

Hunan Entertainment: Liu Shi Shi/Yang Mi-Bu Bu Jing Xin/Gong

Hunan TV is in Mainland China, but you can receive it from HK and Taiwan. It's China's second biggest network after CCTV. Gong was broadcast on Hunan TV.

I don't understand how Hunan TV's management agreed to broadcast a piece of BS like Gong when they funded one of the best and most accurate historical series on 4th Prince - Yong Zheng Wang Chao in 1999.

I was just reading some of your former posts about YH's career. CCTV is the most extensive and respected TV network in Mainland and his two CCTV series, Tian Di Min Xin and Shang Shu Fang, certainly weren't "misses". In fact, they had good ratings and were highly critically acclaimed. It's because they are 正剧 (zheng ju - serious historical dramas) and not idol dramas, that's why you don't know them. I think more of his Tangren dramas were "misses". He did say he left Tangren because he wants to do more 正剧.

I hope to see LSS develop her acting in the 正剧 genre as that's the way for her to become an A-list actress. At least Yang Mi has acted in a CCTV 正剧 before, but not LSS. A-list actresses like Li Xiao Ran, Gao Yuan Yuan, Zhou Xun, Li Bing Bing developed the 正剧 way. Actors like Hu Jun, Du Chun, Lu Yi, Chen Kun, Liu Ye became famous and respected through 正剧. Wallace Huo is definitely striving towards 正剧 - he's now filming a new CCTV drama, Gan Dong Sheng Ming (感动生命).

Not really looking forward to another manga-ish wuxia or superficial RPG series. Tian Zhi Hen will probably enhance her idol status, but not her standing as an actress.

YES!! Not only do I love Nicky, but I love 4th Prince & Ruoxi's romance. Sorry Xiao Xiao, but I have to be objective here (compared to your biasness) - LGX-SN relationship in Strange Hero doesn't make for compelling story-telling on TV. YK-MNC in LOCH (despite you not liking LSS as MNC) had a compelling story because of their unique political circumstances and the type of descendents they will bear. Although Sound of Colors was crap, the premise of Yun Xiang & Jing Jing's relationship in that story was pretty compelling.

Now Nicky's 4th Prince with LSS' Ruoxi - that is going to be nothing short of EPIC!! A romance that will completely leave you breathless!!! The kissing/s*x is only secondary to the situations they will be caught up in.

And YES, there is NO way LGX/SN's romance (or lack of romance) can be compared to what I'm about to see between Ruo Xi's and her princes (trailer, pictures). Romance was also a HUGE reason why I'm looking forward to this series now.

I don't think LSS would suit Li Xiao Ran or Gao Yuan Yuan's career path. YH can be the next Hu Jun (who isn't good-looking) for all I care, but I see LSS going the Ruby Lin-type idol star path. Ruby has never done CCTV 正剧 before but became super A-list in a different way from Li Xiao Ran.
