I would also like to hear everyone's opinions on why they picked whom they picked.

Mutual destruction if they don't pull back.

One way to guarantee that is to NOT use a poll.

Sai Mun Chui Sheut would arguably do better. I would not rate Sai Mun's sword technique beneath Ling Wu Chung's at any point of SPW, but Sai Mun Chui Sheut is also a known top-level practitioner of hing gung and among the elites in inner power in the LUK SIU FUNG world.

Linghu Chong is also an inner power elite because of all the energy he sucked and his cultivation with YJJ. Usually, high inner power equals good qing gong.

His qing gong was pretty good, but Hua Man Lou could still hear him.

Well isn't it flatout obvious? If you use a poll, people will go for the poll option to answer rather than expressing their precious opinions on WHY they chose whom. Got that?

    Oh . . .
    Ok

This is my first poll so now I know that if I want to hear opinions, I won't make a poll.

Actually, Fa Mun Lau *couldn't* hear him. That was the point of that little exchange. Fa Mun Lau told Sai Mun Chui Sheut that in all of wulin, only four or five people had hing gung so refined that they could walk without producing any sound whatsoever, and that Sai Mun Chui Sheut was among this elite few. Sai Mun Chui Sheut then wondered how Fa Mun Lau knew he was there, and Fa told him that it was because he could sense Sai Mun Chui Sheut's deadly sword chi aura.

This was one of my favorite passages of wuxia dialogue ever.

Another thing I don't get is how XMCX and LHC sometimes stare at their opponents doing their sword moves before making a move.

Wouldn't they (XMCX and LHC) get stabbed before they execute their moves??

It's called "moving faster," which is really the key to all martial arts when you get right down to it.

Well in some of their fights, their opponents execute like 30 moves before they even draw their sword. They just stand there looking for weak spots in the opponents' swordplay.

Moving faster is only good if you're talking about weapons. If you're fast but not very strong in a fist fight, you would lose.
