Hehe, could you guys give a little summery of that movie? I'm just curious. Hmm...I think I'll still give it a try, but first I gotta go dig for it in the video store!!!

it's an action movie where Louis is a vigilante & he goes out on his own to punish the bad guys who has been released cuz the law cudn't find enough evidence to prosecute them. poor Louis, seems like the good guys lose in this movie. also poor Jessica & Michael Tse the kiss was very brief. it was those kinds of kisses where the wife kisses the husband goodbye b4 he sets off for work only Louis & Jessica were dating instead.

Are you sure about this? I'm very hazy about this movie, one thing I remember completely is the 5 seconds kissing scene and the ending, MAJOR SPOILER...Louis doesn't make it till the end and Jessica becomes a nun.

In the "masked" I use to always wonder why Louis would hang out at the Monastry when I watched it. It was only when I finished the movie and saw Jessica as a Nun did it click that he was there because of her. Thats quite touching. I've heard that Louis got her that part in the movie (so he could kiss her again, even if it's for only two seconds).

I actually quite like Lady Fan, some parts of the series got me hooked. It might have been better if they changed Joe's character a bit, he was too stupid and wimpy.

I'm back! Sichuan is really beautiful and in keeping with the conversation, the first thing my sis and I checked out when we got our room number was the TV programming. I must confess I'm really envious of mainland audiences. They have 22 CCTV channels and lots of provincial channels to choose from. When I was there, there were as many as 5-6 TVB dramas airing simultaneously. I managed to catch glimpses of A Matter of Custom, Family Man, Greed Mask and a couple of other dramas I can't recall. Hong Kong stars are really big in the mainland, but too bad I didn't have time to shop for vcds. I saw posters of Blade Heart, Hard Fate, and really really new productions as my cab whizz past some vcd shops.

Umm, nothing much to add by the way of Jessica. This is just a heads up from me anyway!

yeah Louis got her the part in the movie. 1999 was a good year for Jessica & Louis to be together: DIF4, Masked Prosecutor, Man's Best Friend

throughout the movie, Louis hangs around the monestary a lot but never goes inside cuz he felt he was "too sinful" to go in. u see.... Louis killed Michael (who is Jessica's brother) years ago & got sent to prison for it. he was beaten very badly by the prisoners cuz he was a cop. that's y he was mad when the bad guys got no time in prison cuz there wasn't n/e evidence against them. so when Louis got out of jail, he went after the bad guys himself & Jordan Chan (an investigator) goes after Louis.

after her brother dies, Jessica & Louis parted & she becomes a nun. but we don't know that until the very end. also in the end, Louis dies. oh there's also another thing... Louis lives & works at a nursing home for the elderly cuz that's where he & Jessica 1st met (i thought that was really cute).

well that's pretty much it. i won't go into details as to how Michael got killed or how Louis died so u guys can watch it for urselves.

From memory I think she came to his funeral or something like that. Also this is when we find out that she's a nun. Sorry I saw this movie quite a while ago and the sequence of events is a bit blurry.

Jessica knows about Louis' death, that cop who's been after Louis came with that young girl to the monastry to pay her a visit. Her reaction was emotionless and she took the news very calmly. She didn't go to the funeral coz there was none, the funeral she went to was her brother's, before she became a nun.

here's a lil summary on the end (btw ur welcome Goddess)

after the scene of Louis getting killed, the camara takes us to the monestary. there we see the old cop (Blackie?), Jordan Chan (detective who went after Louis), & Blackie's daughter sitting on the steps. Jessica comes towards them & we find out she's a nun. b4 that though, all we could see was her hand hitting that thing Budhist nuns hit when they pray so Jessica knew Louis was there all along. she asked the 3 if they brought Louis' ashes yet & they said yes then she said "he's in a peaceful place now" or something like that & the movie ends.

Goddess, if ur trying to rent the movie, the viet title is "Da Xoa" or "Da Xoan". oh crap i can't remember it all of a sudden but i'm pretty sure it's the 1st 1.

Jessica Hsuan brought her eleven year old pet dog 'Boon Boon' to a radio show yesterday for a dog fortune teller to look at. Jessica says she has six dogs at home and this one is her favourite as she found him straying in Clear Water Bay eleven years ago and she decided to keep him. She says: "This dog is very receptive and understands human language. A lot of people say that I look a lot like this dog!"

Jessica says that she greatly supports people who take in stray dogs: "Actually, stray dogs are very intelligent and have a strong will to live. All the dogs in my house have been found on the streets and they are all full of vitality and strength. On one occasion, all six of them came down with dog flu at the same time, but I only had to give them human flu medicine twice and they got better." However she is very worried that this dog is very old now and has problems with its liver and kidneys so it is currently taking medication for it.

When asked if she would follow Vivian Chow's lead and not have children so she can look after her pets, Jessica says: "No I won't. Actually pets and children can grow up together. Overseas, the parents are all willing to let children play with the pets. (Do you choose boyfriends who also love your dogs?) Yes, I suppose."

Hey there you guys!!! Just want to thank you guys soooooooooo much for answering my questions and giving me all those great synopsis' on the movie!!! I went to my rental store, but coudln't get it since I dind't have the viet title, but I gave her a list of artist in it. I guess she was too lazy to dig through her movies since she said that a lot of movies stars those artist. Anyways I'm goign to go ask her about it again with the title you gave me Babygurl

she looks different cuz i think she got her hair colored or highlighted. her real-life love of animals (especially dogs) made her role in MFB perfect.

Yeah, I think she did get her hair highlighted. Hmmm..she looks pretty nice with that, but I also like her hair just plain black. Agree tears, her hair all white is pretty nice too, but I'ld perfer that only in a serial.
