Well, not exactly. I still do want to have the assistance of good manga artists if they'd like to help out.

Still, this is a big boost. Expect to see the results of my experiments soon.

ahaha this algorithm is so stupid. The baby transforms looks like they just photoshop the face of one of those baby doll toys on.

Well, I've applied the "face morpher" to the visages of actresses Tea Leoni (USA) and Joey Meng (Hong Kong) to "transform" them into the two leading female characters of my GUNDAM fanfic, Athena Ibaz and Jolie Minh. It's been reasonably successful...more or less capturing what I imagine the characters to look like.

    Check it out!

@ Ken: Tea Leoni turns out fine...but Joey Meng looks kinda weird................. maybe you do need artists!

Yeah. Even the best computer software in the world can't replace the skill, talent, and experience of a human artist. Still, I was pretty amazed by what the software was able to do.

I had to experiment with *many* of Tea and Joey's photos before I got a batch that I liked, and yes, like you said, the software did a better job with Tea than with Joey.

But at least now it's easier to visualize the characters in general.

I've got my page settings on 40 posts per page. You probably have it set at 20 posts per page.

So folks looking for the illustrations should start with Post # 81 in that thread.

I find the face morpher really disgusting I find it more of a software to "ugly-fy" yourself.End result looks like a piece of mud-shit to me Maybe it will be really artistic in the view of some ppl but I highly doubt anyone will say the turn-out pics will look absolutely fabulous and attractive

Some of the other morphing functions are pretty freaky, but the manga-morph is quite attractive on some faces.

Of course, you need to look as good as Tea Leoni or Joey Meng for it to work (and sometimes, not even then).
