Default Modern anachronisms in wuxia worlds?

The world of wuxia fiction is far removed in both time and character from the modern world in which we live today. Because most of the wuxia fiction popular today was written by authors who live or lived in modern times, however, inevitably, some anachronistically modern ideas leak into the wuxia fiction that they write. What examples can you name of anachronistically modern ideas showing up in wuxia fiction? This can cover technology, social attitudes, or verbal expressions...moments when you went, "Huh. I didn't know people had/were aware of such things in ancient times!"

Many wuxia worlds have more advanced medical technology than the modern world.

Womens social status is very modern in wuxia I think. Of course its not at todays level, but we still see that some women in wulin enjoy much more power and status than they actually did. Independent women were rare I think.
You do know that it is just fiction, dont you?

I think the easy access of restaurants and inns were rather exxagerated in wuxia stories. I don't think ancient China had such a high standard of living that eating places serving wine and meat were so readily available at even small towns.

The fact is TCM is a much more Advance form of medicine then Western Medicine.
Pre Qing dynasty Chinese woman dose have power and status if they are born in Royal or Rich families, or has special skills.
Finally, the easy access of restaurants and inns is true to history, before Qing Dynasty, ancient China dose have a very high standard of living during peace time.

In wuxia, wine and meat were only readily available in larger towns.
In small towns, there was some wine but usually only bean curd or vegetables and very little meat.

Ancient China was well known for its relative abundancy of restaurants.
