What is this, and how to get rid of it?

It's been sticking up and then disappearing again randomly. Although it takes up only a little bit of space, but I don't like it because I don't want it there. To put it shortly, I don't need it at all.

I don't remember how it got there in the first place.

Does anyone know how to make it disappear from my desktop permanently?

I think, you just click on the top right- it should like a line bar or trying to go into the language bar settings. There should be many buttons, which it allows you to see the language bar or not to see the language bar.

Unfortunately that's not the language bar... and I've right-clicked that thing many times before but there's just no option to make it disappear.

it's a type of add on keyboard (for typing a different language with signs or maybe unusualy shape that's not english). it reacts to different key stroke (for example: mine react to shift + ctrl) and sometimes when u hit that key from another program (for example: whenever i use select + shift where i use the same key) it'll react to that. it just happen that w/e u do u've stop pressing those keys (w/e key this particular program respond to). so it stops pop up.

try to run "msconfig" and look under start up. and uncheck it if u don't want it to start up when u start your computer.
