    example of idol singers (generally hot, but sing bad): edison chen, twins

    example of talent singers (generally ugly, but sing good): eason chan, miram yeung

    i can't believe u called out eason on his looks.

    he's freakin HOT !!! i love his style and looks before he started dating hilary ... now that she's his consultant, his image is just so much ...more bleh..

    i say both but prob talent > looks for music.

    As for actressess then thats a compeletely the other way for meeH anyways.

    talent has to come first.. cannot stand idol singers who can't sing for life.. i'm not pointing to edison chen or twins, just some other randoms..

    I would say a bit of both to succeed. Fans generally crowd around idol singers sort of like worship them for their looks over talent. Talented singers are recognized for their ability and not looks as much. I enjoy hearing talented singers more cause your actually listening to their vocals and music. But I wouldn't disagree that looks are important to a singer too cause that will give you more fans.

    I like talent singer more. Idol singer does not stay so long like talent.
    The music from talent is better, too.
