Default Wuxia enemies you'd like to see working together.

Wulin enmities run deeply. Many wulin enemies hate each other so much that cooperation between them is unthinkable...both to them and to readers/viewers.

Which wulin enemies who have never cooperated or otherwise stood on the same side would you think would have an interesting experience working together? Which enemies in wuxia fiction could you see actually working together, albeit not necessarily permanently, towards a common goal? Which wuxia enemies would you want to see working together (just for the novelty or "coolness" of the idea)?

    some that comes to mind....

Team GWMs (Golden Wheel Monk + Great Wheel Monk) ==> practically a given. one guy with fiercer internal energy, the other with superior technique. both are evil monks.

Team Speedy Sissies (DongFang Bubai + Yue Buqun + Lin Pinzhi) ==> combo of Sunflower Manual and Evil-Resisting Sword Technique would be as close as it gets to the power of the original Sunflower Manual.

Hmmm. But they were never enemies (couldn't be, since they lived more than one hundred years apart). In fact, the second was something of a spiritual ancestor to the first.

I'm thinking more of people who appeared in the same story together, but HATED each other and usually tried to kill each other. For example, imagine Mui Chiu Fung teaming up with the Gong Nam 7 Freaks. Kiu Fung joining forces with Mo Yung F'uk. Gwok Jing (ROCH) fighting side by side with the Golden Wheel Monk. Improbable combinations of that nature.

definitely LCY and WCY. if the jade maiden swordplay was enough to elevate 2 mediocre fighters (YG and XLN) to stop a Great level fighter, imagine what the 2 Greats could do, especially since they were the creators of the arts.

really, why did they have to be enemies? *Sigh*...what a lost opportunity, it would have made for a better story than YG and XLN, at least for me. and i'm a YG fan too...

Qingcheng and Penglai (schools) in DGSD. They hated one another for generations, but Wang Yuyan showed them that their respective martial arts techniques could be used in tandem to greater effect.

Not that they'd be any threat to the individuals and/or organisations with better and more powerful skills in DGSD, but at least, their members/disciples would have been more skilful than they would be if they did not work together.

    btw ... Zhu Baokun, anyone?

Of course. This would be like Republicans + Democrats. Or Labour + Conservative + Liberal. Or simply CCCP.

SWORD GOD Zhuo Bufan and Tian Shan Tong Lao.

If SGZBF had put aside his revenge and TSTL let him work for her*, he would have been a cool emissary of Vulture Palace.

    JIAN SHEN DAO!!!

*with his level of martial arts, he should be able to learn the advanced Xiao Yao arts in the restricted chamber. Since the 4 maids were projected to be able to do so by 40.

How about HR & YH from LOCH?? I've always imagine what the outcome would be if they fell in love. That would've taken quite a different turn from the novel.

His official title should be The Enlightened Monk of The Giant Wheels. He is a monk from the Great Snowy Mountain in Western Sichuan province. Throughout his life he faced many battles and never met an opponent of his equal until very late in the story. He was a hypocrit throughout most of the story. Some of his impressive martial arts feats include slicing a piece of bronze out of a bronze Cauldron by means of a long distance attack, launching six consecutive Pursuing Shadow Kicks quicker than a flash, and transmitting crystal clear voices over a long distance with next-to-you pureness.

How about Li XunHuan and SangGuan JinHong (Little Li's Flying Dagger). The novel stated at one point that one was like a saint while the other was the devil, though they were the two best martial artists of their time. Always wondered what it would be like if heaven and hell were one team .
