i don't know why everyone likes Charlene and thinks Charlene is prettier. I think Gillian is the more beautiful, sweeter looking of the too. IMO Charlene is more showy and more "fake."

Since this has become a Charlene vs. Gillian thread. Let's compare shall we? People seem to have misconsumptions of both of them. They have changed a lot over 6 years.

Charlene is becoming more and more mature looking. She has lost the cutesy look she began with. She is more calm and collected now. She also has a a great figure, very skinny and slender.

Gillian is beginning to look like a real woman. She has developed physically, gaining a lovely womanly fugure. Her face also lost the childish look. But she has been leaning more towards the chubby side.

I agree with this assessment. They both are very cute, but that is the only compliment that I can extend towards them. There is nothing special about their looks or talents that captivate my attention.

Yeah it's true. Charlene is rather flat, and Gillian is a bit chubby and they are both short. But they are both really cute. That's what captured millions of people's hearts young and old. I've met some 60 year old Twins fans, some of the youngest Twins fans I've met are like 3.


I have to dissagree with you about acting skills. Charlene is a very good actress. There was an article few months ago about the biggest actresses and actors in Hong Kong. Charlene was choosen along with Maggie Cheung, Michelle Yeoh, Angelina Lee, and Carina Lau. Many directors are fighting for her to act in their films. She's made 32 movies in 6 years, that's impressive. Other big stars like Jackie Chan also praised Charlene and said that they can see Charlene's future in being a sucessful and famous actress.

Popularity and promotional gimmicks aren't going to convince me that she is a good actress. If you're telling me that Charlene is a brilliant actress just because of that article, then people like Jay Chou are brilliant as well since he won the best newcomer awards for the Golden Horse and HK Annual Films a couple of years ago etc.

If u think she's a great actress, good for you. But I've seen her onscreen several times and i find her acting nothing outstanding or remarkable. Frankly, to compare her to someone like Maggie Cheung is an insult to the latter imo. I find Charlene not even half as good as some actresses among her generation, such as Karena Lam and Angelica Lee. Of course, there are a whole bunch of others in Mainland and Taiwan to compare with as well
