btw, I always thought the ATkins diet was flawed.... so it alright to diss bread and apple while you chuck down greasy bacon
I was eating brown rice for like a whole month because my cousin was on a diet. That sucked so bad.

Greasy bacon? You can eat bacon? I thought it was just meat without the fat.

Low-carb is messed up. I completely disagree that it encourages healthy eating...*what? my PM box is full again...? Never mind back on topic*. According to my Lippincott's Biochemistry, carbs are 45-65% of your diet. I'm incredulous that cutting down on carbs doesn't have a dangerous effect on your overall health.

    Me and whole grains:
    Brown rice - hate
Whole wheat bread - hate, even Nutella can't save it
    Oatmeal - hate
Honey Bunches of Oats - LOVE

I don't say this often, but I'm a little embarrassed at how much food I ate today. Since noon, I've snacked on cereal and had a turkey sandwich, ice cream, a cupcake, sushi, rice with chicken and cucumbers, more cake...oh yeah, I forgot my frappuccino consumption (I've never gotten a frappuccino as a gift before, but I guess my food love is obvious) and now someone brought me a Cheesecake Factory Godiva Cheesecake to celebrate. I can't resist...

you're feeling smug arent you? well enjoy the food while you can... its almost certain that as you grow older, your metabolism will decrease and i won't be surprise if you're one of the typical fat housewives lounging on the couch with little rugrats running around

I think they got the wrong term there..I would say it is more like the "right carb". WHole grain rice and oats gives energy and provides other goodies that white rice lack.

I don't think brown rice is that bad..... as long as u cook it right

    - What are your favourite foods?
Most favourite is Ma Po Tofu. Others I like are food made from potatoes, tom yam, spagetti and water tofu (u can eat it hot or cold, just put some cooked oil+soya sauce+friend onion on it is ok. if pit adding some sun-dried shelled shrimp is better though )
Or course, I also like a number of fruits.

    - What foods are absolutely disgusting?
Monkey's brain. I dunno how anyone could eat those. So cruel, they way the eat it.

    - Are you good at cooking? (No) Do you follow the recipe or do you prefer adjusting your cooking to your personal preferences?
I can cook a bit. I follow my mom's recipe.

    - Can you crack an egg with one hand? (I need to learn to do that sometime)
    No

    - How are people ever anorexic when food tastes so good?
Pressure to be thin that society put on women.

    - Why is food an important part of you?
    Too keep me alive?

my friend finally tried it a few weeks ago. after hearing about it for years in all those tvb serials. and...she almost died eating it. she was like, omg, it was rancid and horrible and she had to force herself to swallow it. it stunk up the whole place, and ppl were looking around them wondering what died.

i guess it's an acquired taste, like durian.

Actually, if u can get pass the smell, it's actually not bad. Unfortunately, I can't. But my friend like it.

    Durian is great. Very tasty.

I had it in China last year. It smelled really gross, and it took much convincing before I would put it in my mouth. Taste-wise, I wasn't swooning in ecstasy over it, but it wasn't bad. It did leave a bad aftertaste and also this weird feeling that something (smelly) was coating the inside of my mouth. And my breath was gross for hours!! Kissing is definitely not recommended after eating it!
