    Default Recommend an MTV

With youtube around I figured why not...

I was just watching the Music Video for Nickelback's 'Savin Me', and was really impressed by how the MV was made (even if it reminded me of a certain japanese manga...).

Anyway a thread to share well-made MVs. Emphasis not so much on the song itself, but more of how the MV is choreographed, directed, written etc and how well it reflects the feel of the song.

i tend to like m/vs that are like mini movies set to music.

two very good ones are sky - eternity and lena park - plastic flower. i don't know if you'll find them on youtube, though, bc they're kinda old.

eternity made me cry. it was so sad, and it starred two of south korea's biggest actors. it was very melodramatic, about brothers that were separated when they were young, growing up on different sides of the tracks, immigrating to canada, selling government information, finding love, etc. and it's especially nice how the scenes coincide with the changes in tempo of the music.

plastic flower is animated, and is just kick butt.

i'm one of those ppl that never liked that vid. i don't know why. i'm usually a sucker for those things, but that video seems so contrived and melodramatic. that's the one with the giving up of his eyeballs, right? see, why couldn't he just have given her one, and then they could both see!

True, at this moment, being in the US. Alot of sad songs is highly common, due to the Iraq war and all. I was listening to Jay chou, "Final battle". This song fits so well, during this sad time. As for Tong Hua, is also a touchy song too; anyone who is in the mood could sing that song.

Finally someone who also don't like this mv. The song is nice but the mv was too much.

yeah, and did the song have anything to do with the m/v? i don't know korean, but i wouldn't think so, considering the song is called because i'm a girl, and the main character in the m/v is a guy.

awww what's a touching MV. Reminds me of the series, Stairway to Heaven, where the guy commited suicide and donated his eyes to his beloved. It is ironic that the male lead in this MV is the same actor in that series.

The MV wasn't as sad as I thought it would be. Somehow, it was more unrealistic to me. You know some people cried for days because of that mv

    "Girlfriend" by Avril.

I think it is a sad Mv... not the sad boo-hoo, but more like how sad that such a suck a$$ song by the dumb singer can be even considered music

The guy is inconsiderate. If some guy did that for me I wouldn't be happy at all. I wouldn't be able to look at myself in the mirror without thinking about whose eyes I have. I would probably end up developing some psychological disorder due to the distress he caused me. And then I'd commit suicide. Death should not have to result from blindness.

I agree that the song sucks a$$, but DON'T CRITICISE AVRIL LAVIGNE.

Okay, so she's not the best singer (or close, really), she can't spell ("Sk8er Boi"), her lyrics are lame, but she has catchy tunes! "You held my hand and walked me home, I know / Why you gave me that kiss it was something like this it made me go ooh ohh...Did you think that I was gonna give it up to you, this time? Did you think that it was somethin' I was gonna do and cry?"

My favourite MV is "Incomplete" by Backstreet Boys. Not for its sadness per se, but just that I thought the elements depicted in the MV were pretty interesting and well thought out. Plus I love the Backstreet Boys. Leave me alone.

My other favourite MV is "I'm Coming" by Rain.

There must be something wrong with me, since Rain's dance moves are growing on me. Some of his movements make me a bit squirmy though. I don't even know why I like watching Rain dance in sexy clothes among the flames...maybe it's his hot ABS.
