    Default phrasal verbs

If you 'get on' a train or a bus, do you then 'get down' or 'get off' it? Or are both phrases acceptable?

Well, if you make a sentence with "get down" and it sounds weird to you, chances are, it's not right.

Usually the opposite of on is off. So if you use "get up" then you use "get down".

The best person to ask about English is either Ken Cheng or HuangYuShi.

To make get down work you need to add from.

Actually I think I used 'get down' a bus before since 'get down' has a meaning of 'descend'...... but not sure if it's standard.

Also I just checked 'get up', it has a meaning of 'ascend', so can it be 'get up' a bus? It sounds okay to me though. :/
