Happy New Year again, guys! Was hoping to catch some sleep today, but MB bugged me to produce a new MV. Hence, here's the three MB wuxia series of The Foundation, Chor Lau Heung and Fearless Duo. Music is from my favourite Coco Lee, A Love Before Time (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon).

    http://becomingicha.blogspot.com.au/...iubarbara.html

The premise is similar to my Karmic Connection fanfiction, which apparently has drawn some good readerships.
    http://becomingicha.blogspot.com.au/...ara-wuxia.html

there's another MB MV down the pipeline (I wish I'm this productive with my papers...), but I need to sleep before subbing the Canto...

oh, and I made a Fearless Duo MV two nights ago, and since I'm posting this, I am also piggybacking the FD MV... Song is "Accidentally in Love" (Shrek).

Here's another CLH/SSC MV, with Leslie Cheung's "I am what I am" number. Think I might need to do a LSM/SS MV, but their love story is just too painful... (perhaps I can pretend the stabbing never happened...).

I'm also adding the Pinyin lyrics to "Du Shang Xi Lou" (Alone Up the West Chamber) MV, check it out here in a few minutes; I'm still uploading the Pinyin-ed MV.

I cannot remember if I mention before but now that I think about it, I think Simon's adopted mom was very selfish and is somewhat responsible for Simon's actions.

On the other hand, Simon's character can be regarded as a hypocrite. In front of his "adopted" mother, he said that he only wanted to be a commoner. Behind her, he is already the Bat King.

LOL! I was first confused as to why we suddenly talk about Simon's adopted mum, I didn't even know he was adopted... Then I realised you were talking about his character Yuen Tsui Wan! LOL!

Yeah, the Scary Nun (as I often dub her) isn't really a likeable character. She was very full of vengeance. Tsui Wan also had his flaws, but I think if the Nun was wiser, he wouldn't be such a hypocrite!

    Questions, guys:

    1. I don't watch other CLH series (eg by Adam Cheng or Richie Ren). Did the CLH/CLX there have the habit of touching his nose? Or is that only a Michael Miu thing? And were other CLH having problems with their noses, as in they couldn't smell properly? Or is that also only in this series?
    2. CLH 1984 didn't wield a fan, at all, which is a tad shame cos Li Sai Man (the Foundation) did, and I like Michael with a fan. Yet CLH here had some needles as his weapon. Is this also only for the 1984 ver?

I only watched Adam Cheng's version. Yes, he touched his nose often.
Yes, he has a fan. But I cannot remember whether he used needles.

Ah thanks a lot. So the nose thing isn't just Michael's then. However, he does have that habit, from the Foundation (after he first met Sik Sik), Fearless Duo (investigating the biting of the clock man), and now CLH, hence I did wonder...

Have just posted a new fanfic here, hope you like it. Have a nice weekend!

    http://becomingicha.blogspot.com.au/...lau-heung.html

What if Chor Lau Heung didnt defeat the Bat Prince during the last duel? What if he fell into the cliff instead, presumably dead? What would Siu Ching do?

PS: some new MVs down the pipeline, so watch the space...

Did he defeat the Bat Prince? I thought there is no winner.
If he died, then no more episode.
Siu Ching probably will become a nun.

He did defeat Yuen Tsui Wan, barely. Cos CLH's sword grazed Yuen's neck, while Yuen only grabbed Chor's hair ribbon with the Viper Sword.

And yes, SC could be a nun, but not yet in my story...^_^

    First MV for 2016:

    http://becomingicha.blogspot.com.au/...ve-clh-mv.html

    https://vimeo.com/151644872

Chor Lau Heung was not just famous for his gravity-defying skills and martial arts. He was first and foremost a great detective. This MV is an attempt to portray some sleuthing scenes in "The New Adventures of Chor Lau Heung 1984" series, in particular surrounding the mystery of the Bat Prince and the Viper Sword. The series is the property of TVB Hong Kong; no copyright infringement intended. Music is from my favourite spy/detective series; the BBC "Spooks" opening theme by Jennie Muskett. Also featuring Ying Man Lei (Kwok Fung), Song Siu Ching (Barbara Yung), Wu Tit Fa (Chan Wing Chun) and Yat Dim Hung (Austin Wai) as some of my favourite characters in the series. Enjoy!

    Good question, Nan Ling.

I think he once liked Kam Ling Chi, but then he fancied SC more. Or perhaps he just fancied SC because he was irked by CLH? I do think he liked SC more than Kam Ling Chi, and he just used Miss Kam later for his own agenda...

By the way, has CLH in other versions been having nose problems? The 1984 CLH couldn't really smell properly. What about the Adam Cheng version? Did the Adam Cheng version also have stuffy nose and use the nose balm all the time?

Oh, and after Alan Rickman's death yesterday (he was, still is, one of my favourite actors, in addition to Michael Miu...), I feel so blue. Hence I think a bit of fluffiness is needed, at least for me. Hence this CLH fanfic...

A boy rescued a little girl when she fell into a rabbit hole. Dedicated to all things fluffy and happy in the world.

    Have a nice weekend, guys...

    I just uploaded a new CLH/SSC MV.

    http://becomingicha.blogspot.com.au/...eung-1984.html

This CLH Heung 1984 MV starts with some scenes from Ep 11. The MV mostly focuses on how CLH would sacrifice himself to protect Song Siu Ching because he loved her so, and how he was so scared to lose her (or got worried whenever she was upset). Several versions of "At Least I Have You" (Zhi Shao Hai You Ni) exist, and I do love some of them (Alan Tam's and Sandy Lam's in particular). But I picked Leslie Cheung's version because the tone somehow fits with the MV theme.

I uploaded the MV to both Dailymotion and Vimeo. Enjoy!

    http://becomingicha.blogspot.com.au/...g-1984-mv.html

I always wanted to do a CLH 1984 MV with a new age piece as the music background, but I doubted whether it would fit the series. But when I found out about "Turning" by Italian-American Suzanne Ciani and Taiwanese Chyi Yu (Qi Yu), I considered it would fit Siu Ching's feelings to Chor Lau Heung. Of course, the "someone else is in [his] eyes"in this context was not a woman; rather, it was his own free wandering life that made him left the Palace and the girl he loved. To me, this song fits Siu Ching's original wish that Chor Lau Heung would leave the wandering life in favour of a royal life, but eventually the girl realised what was truly important, and dashed towards CLH's boat to be with him.

Hope you guys like it. Have a nice weekend!

I have long wanted to do screen shots of ep 11 of CLH 1984 when Chor tai-gor said to Siu Ching that she was lovely when she was being annoying (and touching her nose gently at that, twice!). Hence, below are screen shots of that total saccharine scene, and the following scene where CLH learned that the annoying but lovely girl had gone. Enjoy!

    http://becomingicha.blogspot.com.au/...11-screen.html

Also, I made another MV with "Zhi Shao Hai You Ni (At Least I Have You)", sung by Alan Tam and Teresa Carpio this time. The MV is for Fearless Duo 1984, but since we have no dedicated thread for FD, I piggy-back it here...

Got a new CLH fan-fiction for you ladies:

    http://becomingicha.blogspot.co.id/2...lau-heung.html

    Escape from the Bat Palace

Premise: what if Yat Dim Hung delivered Song Siu Ching to the Bats instead of leaving her in the dilapidated temple to later be found by Chor Lau Heung? Special thanks to Tamuyen for giving me this idea.

    Hope you enjoy it.
