I love history myself, and only ever use Wikipedia for things I have never heard of in my life to have a very brute understanding, so I have a pretty good idea what kind of information I can get on Wikipedia. (Which, by the way, is not that much)

I've actually never been to a Chinese history only forum/site though unless I really google it. Care to reveal some sources?

Depending on where you are, you might access CHF or the Chinese History Forum from google. If you live you China, it's blocked by the government, so I don't know. If you can access it, you have to go through a test to post. Otherwise, you can only read.

The resource 200,000 calvary is clearly written in the Liu Bang/Han Gaozu chapter of the Shi Ji. And you can estimate the remodified calvary army of the Han Wudi from the calvary group that Huo Chubing and Wei Ching led into and past the desert.

The resource for the Tang campaign during Tang Taizong is written on book Zhi Zhi Tong Jian 196 or 197 (year 645) and New Book of Tang book 220.
