Default How to split AVI files into 2 AVI files?

I need to know how to split an avi. file into 2 avi. files but so far, I can only come up with HJ splitter, which doesn't exactly give me the results I want. Thank you.

Go to my manga blog in my sig, and download the Xilisoft vid converter there. It has a function for splitting (for example a 60min long movie into 2 parts of 30mins each.)

Use virtualdub. It's free and can do a whole lot of other things

Here's how I usually split/cut my video files using VirtualDub

Open the video file in VirtualDub
Select the segment that you want using the mark-in and mark-out buttons which are located at the bottom.
Select direct stream copy under Video
Go to File and select Save segmented AVI

I am assuming that you just want to split the files and not recompress them right?
If you are unable to open the file in Virtualdub, it probably means that you don't have a video for windows (VFW) compatible codec, VirtualDub requires a VFW compatible codec to decompress video, I use Xvid.

    Hope it helps

By the way beansprouts, which movie is that in your screenshot?
