first, i more liked tony sun to be the leading actor.
why, i guess u all know.
second, all girl character that play in that movie was in loved with can feng.
    that was wierd, i guess.
I don't like the leading actor either. He's so boring! It's weird how I like the villain better than the hero

I also found Xiao Yao and Wu Xin more likeable than Cang Feng and Yi Yi.

Finished the series. Highly recommended as it seemed only too soon when it was the last episode.
Below are some pics of my favourite couple Yao Lang and Wu Xin - credits to SINA.

Found the little boy- Ah Bao very cute. Below is a pic of him.

Don't know if anyone has seen the cover of the series being sold. . .XD it's absolutely so deceiving. . .makes you think xiezhi is the main character of the story. His face is the largest and centered on both the part 1 and part 2 cover. I would have been fooled if I didn't already learned so much of the story. XD

Yeah. . .yaolang and wuxin is good couple. Much better to watch than canfeng and yiyi. . .just because it seems such an injustice to qianxing that they got to end up together. . .and all the girls that loved canfeng so much. It's one of those situation that just makes everyone feel the main character's love is extremely selfish so it's not very likable.

I agree with you Cinnamon, the cover is very deceiving. Although the series is good overall, I was very disappointed that Xiezhi wasn't in more scenes.

The real downside of this series, as many have pointed out, is that the actor they chose to portray Can Feng is so wooden and boring. Plus he has way too many scenes. Although Qian Xing and Yue Er weren't a couple, I think their interaction was interesting to watch and I agree that Yaolong and Wuxin were the best couple pairing.

But I would recommend it as the story is good and there are some good actors (including Xiezhi of course) in it.

    Default what?

Yes, Can Feng and YiYi are a bit boring..I definitely prefer Yaolang and Wuxin. But has no-one noticed that the chinese can feng speaks is a bit off? and his name..shao bing..thats a type of chinese pancake.

I think all the actors and actresses voices were dubbed in this series.

I wonder if anyone knows if the Taiwan version is out yet? I already have the China version, but the picture isn't too clear and I would like to get the Taiwan version since the opening and ending songs are sung by Tony Sun Xie Zhi.

I think it is worth watching again- I'll just fast forward the parts with Cang Feng.

Hahaha actually I quite like the main character Cang Feng though he's way too nice to believe in... But he's too boring, all the ladies fell in love with him at first sight!? I thought gals like bad guys more... Oh the CGI Mega Chess board looks grand & nice, too bad it only appear twice in the drama while the characters are chasing the demon swords for almost the whole of the show.

haha. . .yeah. That would get rid of half the show for ya. . .I just love how qian xing keeps trying to kill him and he keeps coming back. My mom and I were watching together and just found it so hilarious that this guy is so stubborn. Why won't he stay dead?!

This series is re-airing in Taiwan ( for the 3rd time I think) on a different channel plus it is still airing in China. I believe the first airing was in Guangzhou last August, where it was very popular and received high ratings.

Does anyone know if it aired in Hong Kong yet?

I just read that it will be airing in Shanghai later this month because it got good ratings when it first aired last year. Not too bad at all! Tony is so shuai in this series.

Does Tony really have very little screen time? Thinking of whether i should watch the show.. i watched a bit only so far and I already cannot stand the main lead.. he looks old, not good looking (totally not my idea of a hero) and his character is soooo boring!

I wouldn't say that Tony has very little screen time, but of course much less than the boring main character Cang Feng. Tony's character Ren Qian Xing is quite important to the overall story, which is not bad. It also helps that Tony is very cool in ancient costume.

Even though I have only seen parts of this series here and there, I would not say that Tony has little screen time. He still has a lot, but I did wish that he had more. THe main character is so boring and annoying at times... I wonder why all of the girls like him instead of Tony???
Respect other people's opinions and views. If we learn how to do that than all of these fights and arguments will not occur.

Yeah- can't understand why all the girls liked Cang Feng either. I wanted to watch parts of it and was looking if they had the series on mysoju (since my DVD copy is not the greatest) but they don't have it due to copyrights. That's probably why they still haven't shown it on the Chinese pay tv channels here (in Toronto) yet.
