Default Jet Li to star in "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"

Kungfu superstar Jet Li is going to collaborate with "Star Wars" lead Natalie Portman in a new Disney picture, the China news quoted a report in Hong Kong's Wen Wei Po newspaper as saying.

The report said the film is an adaptation of Disney's classic "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". It is set thousands of years after the original Snow White story, when the princess has reincarnated into a young woman, played by Natalie Portman.

Her evil stepmother wants to collect the seven pieces of her magic mirror to resume her power.

The Shaolin temple in central China, which has been protecting the mirror for thousands of years, sends seven warriors, led by Jet Li, to protect the mirror and the young woman.

Sources say the movie has a budget of 70 million US dollars and might be made by martial arts choreographer and film director Yuen Woo-ping.

Well, this is a strange career move for Jet Li.

Not really. It's in the same genre as 'Forbidden Kingdom'. Wait, didn't Jet Li say he was going to stop making 'martial arts' kinda movie?

LOL, I don't think he is going to be the prince, he is one of the "7 dwarves" reincarnated as 7 shaolin warriors

actually, he said he'd stop making movies that feature the martial art 'Wushu' after he finished with Fearless. He never said he'd stop making martial art movies in general

Actually, there was a sixth installment made in 1997 called Once Upon A Time China & America. It just wasn't as memorable as the first three. I'm actually not surprised by the roles he's taking since he is a peaceful person and these roles might suit his personality better.

haha, lol is that the cowboys and indians thingy, hey, I'm sure the will be no more 8, 9, 10 or 11 by Jet Li in the future. Even Wen Zhou also fade up with WFH...

Not to mention that Jackie had Native American make up on and got along rather well with them. Only difference is that Jet actually shaved his head for the role, didn't lose his memory, and didn't have a close American partner.
