    The use of LOCH music in ROCH was thoughtfully and deliberately done, however. In most cases, the LOCH music was played in ROCH *only* in scenes focusing on Gwok Jing and Wong Yung (appropriately) or when the characters discussed events that happened back during the LOCH time period (or people who had died back in LOCH).

    ROCH 1983

    I am going to name the following movie extra as Mr. ROCH simply because he was all over the series with small roles.

    Mr. ROCH as a waiter in Episode 18.

    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u155/LOCHROCHHSDS/ROCH_18.jpg')

    Mr. ROCH as a QuanZhen disciple in Episode 37.

    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u155/LOCHROCHHSDS/ROCH_37.jpg')

    Mr. ROCH as a Mongolian soldier in Episode 37.

    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u155/LOCHROCHHSDS/ROCH_37a.jpg')

    Mr. ROCH as a doll peddler in Episode 46.

    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u155/LOCHROCHHSDS/ROCH_46.jpg')

    Mr. ROCH as a Beggars' Union member in Episode 46.

    More than 100 years before LOCH, it appeared that Zuo ZiMu of WuLiang Fencing School's East Faction was the first to wear this "longevity robe".

    Zuo ZiMu in Episode 1 of DGSD 1982.

    Then in LOCH, Liang ZiWeng, making his first appearance wore the famous robe to Yang Kang's banquet.

    DGSD 1982

    In Episode 2 when Duan Yu envisioned the movement of the Minute Ice Ripple Steps, the camera angle captured the right backdrop edge of the stage. Only the close up shot showed Idy Chan and you could kind of see the dancer was a movie extra on most of this particular scene.

    The dude almost has as much screentime as the principals. Had this guy been better looking, he might have become a superstar.

    Apparently, Zuo ZiMu wasn't the only one that has his attire lasted for centuries. His martial art sister, Xin ShuangQing, had her attire passed down for almost 300 years.

    Xing ShuangQing in Episode 2 of DGSD 1982.

    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u155/LOCHROCHHSDS/DGSD1982_2a.jpg')

    Almost 300 years later, MieJue Shitai wore the hand-me-down robe in HSDS 1986.

    MieJue Shitai in Episode 7 of HSDS 1986.
    $this->handle_bbcode_img_match('http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u155/LOCHROCHHSDS/HSDS1986_7.jpg')

    Talk about having a really tight budget until TVB could have these costumes shared in between series for years.

    There are weapons that last seemingly forever too.

    Here's one for you to find, Vind. You know what happened to the combination walking staff/spear that Gong Nam Freak Leader Ohr Jen Ngok used during LOCH '82? Well, it turned up in HSDS '86 being used by the third Mongol warrior that Chiu Mun sent to challenge Kunlun Sect Leader Ho Tai Chung at the Man On Pagoda (the one that Ho lost to before he had to cut off his finger).

    Quite a few LOCH '82 Felix Wong Gwok Jing costumes reappeared in HSDS '86.

    Gwok Jing's blue costume, which he wore often towards the end of Part 1 and the beginning of Part 2 (I believe this is the costume that Gwok Jing wore when he first met North Beggar Hung 7 Gung; I think he also wore it when he escorted the injured Wong Yung to see South Emperor 1 Deng), reappeared on Simon Yam's Cheung Chui San in HSDS '86...when Cheung and his wife and son newly returned to China from Ice Fire Island and lived for a short time in a fishing village.

    Gwok Jing's gold costume, which he famously wore in those Hong Lung 18 Palms sequences, also turned up in HSDS '86 on of those guys that Chu Yeun Cheung and Chui Dat witnessed escorting the Shaolin monks to Man On Pagoda in Dadu.

    Clones of that same costume appeared on a half dozen "Mongolian" girls in ROCH '83 as well during the "Mongol dance scene" at Kublai Khan's base camp just after Yeung Gor joined forces with the Mongols in an attempt to take revenge against Gwok Jing and Wong Yung.

    Gwok dai hap left behind quite a legacy to the wulin of HSDS. Not only did he leave behind the 9 Yum Jen Ging and the Mo Muk War Tactics Manual, but he also left behind the wardrobe of his youth for them. What a truly great hero Gwok Jing was! He literally took the shirt off his back for the sake of posterity!

    More Mongolian Salvation Army goodness: in ROCH '83, the only costume that Ma Gwong Jor (Yeung Gor's brave and loyal, but incompetent buddy from the Mongol mercenary warriors) wore was a black and white outfit that had also belonged to Gwok Jing during LOCH '82. It was still in good condition, as Gwok Jing very rarely wore this outfit in LOCH (interestingly, however, Ma claimed that his mother had made the outfit for him, so either he's a liar or his mother is).

    Also, to show what a cheapskate father-in-law East Heretic Wong Yerk See was: during ROCH '83, Gwok Jing wore a blue outfit during his defense of Seung Yeung (this was the outfit he wore when he singlehandedly fought five Mongol martial arts experts including the Golden Wheel Monk). The outfit was a hand-me-down from one of Wong Yerk See's crippled students. Back in LOCH '82, during the flashback to the day that Wong Yerk See crippled his students, one of the students (either Mo Min Fung or Sor Goo's dad Kuk Ling Fung) wore that same outfit. What a cheapa$$ father-in-law Wong Yerk See was...making his son-in-law wear old clothes he confiscated from the students he'd kicked out of Peach Blossom Island!

    So the reuse of costumes is also considered as a blooper? In that case, I've seen a few repeats of wedding costumes.
